Made these today... so yummy. I'm going to make them again with crushed almonds instead of pecans and a replace 1 tsp of vanilla for almond extract

Hi Linda, First of all, thank you very much for all the great recipes that you show us. I just wanted to let you know I made these delicious cookies yesterday. They turned out great. (The only difference is that I had to bake mine longer. I know you always tell us that no oven is the same.) Oh, one last thing, they freeze beautifully. I froze some yesterday so, today, I had to make sure they were good, once frozen. I am in charge of quality control. What a job I have!!

This recipe has been in my family for generations. Although mom called them Christmas Nutballs, Snowball Cookies or just plain ole Nutballs. She sometimes used Pecans, Walnuts or once she moved back down south she used Black Walnuts. I'm a Pistacio addict so I may try them with those this year too. lol

Thank you so much for the advice on the unsalted butter! In the past, whenever I've encountered a recipe that calls for unsalted butter, I just avoided that particular recipe because there aren't many recipes out there that call for it, in my opinion. I never saw a point to buying an ingredient for a single recipe and I knew for sure that unsalted butter would inevitably go bad in my fridge. I just didnt know that it was still okay to use salted butter, so now I won't shy away from those recipes calling for unsalted ever again. Thank you, Linda!!

Oh my Lord! I think this is the cookie my husband kept telling me about for years, and I just could not figure out what he was talking about. He would try to describe them, and tell me how much he loved them, and how good they were. I’m going to make these and surprise him with them. Thank you, thank you so much for putting this up!

These cookies have been in my family for generations. Always made at Christmas, and gifted to friends. I agree that they are also my favorite cookie, and should be called Vanishing cookies, as they're the first to vanish off the cookie tray. Great recipe. Your the 1st to ever share this.❤

Hi Linda! Are these the ones that some call them Wedding Rings? I know we always seem to have them at Christmas time usually someone would give them to us. Mom use to make those Peanut Butter ball cookies or Buckeyes whichever you want to call them. They were my favorite. She would put some back for me to take home once I was moved out on my own.

If I have missed any videos I'm sorry. I've been sick for a week and I'm real tired of being sick. If your daughter lives close by maybe you could have her hide some of them for you? Just a thought.
