Finished the way a few weeks ago and was lucky to get 7 days of zero rain or midges. Enjoyed your video.

Good on ya! You must've had really pleasant temperatures for hiking during the day as well. How cold did it get at night? Thanks for watching :)

@@PocketRambles To be honest it was around 14 to 18c during the day and the only morning I checked the temp was the last day and it felt quite cold. It was 5c !!!! I was really lucky. After watching you videos it kind of made me wish I had went with a friend rather than solo. Would have been a giggle.

Great journey, well done to the both of you. Looked traumatic and enjoyable all at once! I'm doing it this June so fingers crossed there's not too many midges! Out of interest did either of you treat you gear with an repellent to ward off ticks (I'm in two minds) atb Andy

It's always a mixed bag of emotions but the sense of achievement is incomparable 😊 we didn't treat our gear, there was little point for us as the ticks all got involved while we camped that first night so all our gear was out... Would've been a feat trying to treat it all. A daily check at camp is what's best to ensure they haven't got a hold anywhere on you. Bring a little mirror so you can check areas that are hard to see if you're solo. Good luck!
