We had to start over 3 years ago after we lost everything in a fire. We are now 68 and 71 and I can identify with your excitement amidst difficulties. Pictures, clocks, beds, it is HOME! God in His mercy brought us e very step of the way and we paralleled the 23 psalm.

Your Florida home has become so beautiful, warm and inviting. So happy for you! Bill is so like my Ed. Both of you can make anything and fix most everything. I learned that whenever I really liked something, I had to caution my sweet husband not to rush out and buy it or make it for me every time! And I also play the piano, Elizabeth, sew, and sing. We both went through some very difficult times: he was widowed after 30 years, and I was divorced after 25. God so dramatically brought us together 26 years ago, and we have been blessed with eleven grands, and eleven greats so far. Most live close or visit often. Our faith has always been extremely important to us, and we laugh a lot through the “joys” of aging together. We were blessed to spend some extended winter vacations in Florida with friends, but I am more content quilting through the winters and enjoying less travel. I really am envying your electric assist bike, Elizabeth! Maybe for our 25th anniversary this year? Blessings to you both and thank you for the joy and encouragement and faith you share with all of your followers/friends.❤️🙏❤️

I always preserve my mattresses with full zip vinyl covers, leaving one inch or so unzipped for any trapped air to escape, then a quilted mattress cover over top.

Looking really nice! We are moving to VA this summer to be near our daughter and grandsons!!!!!!! This will be the first time living near her in many years,so happy to be with her family! Giving up our four bedroom home in GA and moving into a apartment,so many thing to sell and give away!! Lots of work for us in our 70th but sure worth it to be near family🌺

Happy for you that your house is coming together! We’re just a bit older than you two and thank God we’ve been able in the last 2-3 years to rescue my husband’s childhood house from rotting down. It’s a few hundred miles from where we live now and we so enjoy it when we go to visit his older siblings and family. We have furnished it with a minimal amount of furniture and no curtains. We feel like the curtains are only dust catchers and would need to be washed when we go there to stay awhile. I’m very sensitive to mold, dust etc. The less we have the less we have to clean. 😊 Just something for you to think about. God’s blessings!

I love how things seem to be working out with now living in the two debt-free homes. The Lord has given you so much wisdom in accomplishing this, and that it is benefitting Elizabeth's health! The addition of the pictures on the walls makes it look like "home." We are pleased for you. When you arrive back in Florida in the fall, we hope to be able to send over some perennial plants that are part of a "hidden food forest" so that you will have food growing in your yard year-round that those passing by do not recognize for their value. We grow pigeon peas, longevity spinach, Florida cranberry, and several other plants that will be great in your yard.
