I watched S1 once in my own and again a couple years later with my boyfriend, and I always got great energy from these two but ESPECIALLY on my second watch. And by the time I finished rewatching I wholeheartedly believed they got a terrible edit. I feel like it’s easier to get swept up in the narratives the first time (especially with way it’s edited to emotionally affect people, i.e. with music etc.). But rewatching brought a lot of clarity.

If anyone wants to know how reality shows work, esp if they're gonna be a participant, they should watch the show Unreal. They show you all the manipulation techniques producers use on these participants, how they will push you to do or say what you don't want and then edit the whole thing to make you look stupid or romantic, nice.. it's basically storytelling with each participant "playing" a character. Lauren and Cameron were lucky they had a good edit. But I know also that they base these edits on each person temperament and exacerbate it if needed.

There is so much more depth to Amber than what was showed on the show. I'm glad they're doing this conversation with Lauren and Cameron because you can tell there is trust and true appreciation there. I now understand why Netflix never offered Nick and Vanessa's job to C & L. Their intentions are too pure for the show and the "contestants". They would try to diffuse the drama instead of stirring the pot. And that's certainly not what the LIB producers want. Keep up the good work Mr and Mrs Hamilton.

It has the best success rate of any dating/marriage show. 35% of the engaged couples get married and 81% of the married couples have stayed married. @@casiedomingos5197 yeah last season I started to question if I wanted to continue watching because I’m so sick of seeing men who are already in relationships or out cheating. The screening process clearly needs some work. A lot of the guys this season gave me red flags but I think we’re at least getting one successful relationship out of it so that’s good but I just wish they gave us more personality. And honestly a lot of the time when they say what they love about a person it feels so vague and not personal. I want specific examples of things they did/said that showed you that they were the one. I could name multiple examples for specific things that showcase why I love my husband so I want to see that from them. That would let us get a way better feel for who they are as people. Or even a “what’s one of your favorite things to do together”. So far this season I know that one couple loves to pray together, one couple is into education/science, two bicker a lot, and one girl likes how open her guy is to learning about new things but hates how much he talks. A lot of depth and info is missing about those relationships.

I don't think people care about the whole Jessica situation anymore. Especially since she herself is married now, has had a child, and seems to be happily married with a man that is doing pretty well for himself. Plus it was years ago. I love the way Lauren carries herself. She is classy and super nice to all the guests, and Cameron compliments her. They are genuinely good people, with good energy. That is why people like them, and root for them. This was a great show.
