If that was where I live, Chili would get ticks from being in that tall grass. Do you have to treat for bugs after trips outdoors?

LeesaDeAndrea We always do a qucik physical exam after a trip outside because we do have ticks in the area. Luckily we've never had one hitch a ride during a walk.

so cavies whistle when they're happy, but what does it mean when other members of their family make a similar sound? when I have handled guinea pigs they make that sound when they are being picked up, which makes me think they are stressed or it is a warning call.

Cactus Productions No, that's lupine and it's mildly toxic if eaten in large quantities. He doesn't try to eat it, so I'm not nervous having him near it.

Hi! I have been owning birds (budgies) for around 6 years, and my very first budgie who is around 6 years old just started attacking me. He has never done this before, he was the sweetest little guy. This is the third day he has been attacking me, and what he does is he flys and sits on my head, tries biting be on the forehead or my ear and when i try to get him away with my hand his starts attacking my hand like crazy. ( my hand hurts now :( )I have been trying to use the bird timeout method, so if he bites me i put him in a cage for around 15 minutes. That doesent work. Then i thought that my birds dont get enough sleep because i have hamsters and their wheels are pretty loud, so this night i put then in a quiet, dark room and he is still biting me. I just super upset and i don't want to keep him in his cage all the time, because my birds cage is always open during the day and i think its kind of cruel to keep a bird in its cage all day. But i realy dont know what to do, pleae help me! :(

There's a door that connects the old room to the new Romping Room. They usually have access to both at all times but I closed the door to keep Kizmit from trying to crawl into my lap while I put Chili Pepper's harness on. It's hard to do much when you have a porcupine in your lap, lol!

Hethrus Not at all, they can run up to 40mph and jump 6' in the air. They have long fragile legs that can easily break if they spook and get them tangled in something (like table legs, chairs, wire or wood fencing, etc.). While they are super social animals, they are also very nervous and need a very strong trust bond with their humans to be as calm as you see Chili Pepper is in the video. So, honestly I wouldn't say he'd make an easy pet for the average pet owner.
