A couple tips, from one manager to another - 1. If you're wondering what to pay for a player, try delegating the responsibility to your assistant. One of the first things that happens is that it will give you a negotiation range of what to offer. You can usually start negotiations a little lower than that range, but it gives you a ballpark when you otherwise wouldn't have a clue, and it lets you feel smart. Your assistant is like, "Should I offer him between $11,000 and $17,500 per week?" and you can say, "...Yes. That's exactly what I, the wise manager, was going to suggest. Good work reading my mind, underling!" Once you have the price range, you can either continue to delegate the responsibility (keeps you out of the room you hate), or back out and negotiate the contract yourself, equipped with the newfound advice from your assistant. 2. Players never complain about being played more often than their contractual role implies. But by signing Oshilaja as "Important", he's going to expect to be starting pretty frequently. You're going to get emails. He's going to expect to be starting, and he has a worse overall rating than all of your defensive starters, who just in the last episode you accurately described as an area where you need to sign some better players. If you can sign him as sporadic or rotational (which you can based on how his stats compare to a lot of his superior teammates), he'll be less disgruntled by the lack of playing time he gets.

Go to the Free agents, scout a few with 3-4 green stats (70+ speed etc) and sign some of them up for squad depth you don't have a whole lot of a transfer budget.

Tell John that there is a SKIP button at the bottom left of the negotiation screen. Alternately, he can just let his assistant do the negotiations and John will never have to see that room again.

I feel the same way about moving. I think it's because moving across a city feels relatively pointless and more like a hassle. As opposed to moving great distances for a new job where you CAN'T stay at your old apartment. Moving to a different apartment in the same place feels less imperative. Like theoretically, you COULD stay in your old place, even if it is a bit too expensive or a bit far from work. Also, I have ADHD, so moving to an entirely new place excites and engages my brain so it's easier for me to accomplish moving tasks. There's also more rigid time frames to it, ie we have to pick up the moving truck on this day and we have to fill it between these hours so everything has to be ready, which is more difficult to procrastinate. In a cross city move, typically you have a few overlapping days so you're gonna just do some car trips every day, which is exactly the moment your brain starts to say "Hey, you have plenty of time, so much more time to do this gradually and not rush, if we dont take a load of stuff tonight, it's no big deal, self care and all". And then you're crying on the sidewalk of your old apartment at midnight, staring at your stuff that is really only about 3/4 packed, wondering where it all went wrong. Cause that kind of self care is a load of it, self care for ADHD brains is having routines and sticking to plans. Not as fun as a sheet mask, but it does make sure your symptoms don't overtake and ruin your quality of life.

Hi, John, I have a problem. My parents are getting divorced and sometimes they'll get into huge arguments over things like money. My mom will then be crying and really sad for a while and if I start talking about it with my dad he'll often start crying. Also my mom says things like 'i'm not a horrible person why did this happen to me' which is just plain illogical cuz the world isn't fair so I don't really know how to console her. Also when I see my parents crying I don't really feel like I have the emotional strength to support them. I have no idea what to say or do and I need help.
