Neat video! You’re right it’s a drone flying paradise. We have been multiple times. We actually encountered the Mars research team on the road and have visited the dinosaur quarry when they were working there. Bentonite Hills in the Upper Cathedral Valley Capitol Reef is also very cool. Thanks for sharing!😀😀👍👍

Nice video. I definitely need to go back and explore that area more. You mentioned bad lighting, but I actually think the overcast conditions actually brought out the colors better than sunny weather would have. I went to the Moonscape Overlook and drove past some bentonite hills along Wild Horse Road on a sunny day in October and the colors were more washed out. I think overcast lighting conditions or golden hour would bring them out the best.

The area of Hanksville is full of dinosaur bones. Going there in winter is best in most ways other than mud as you say. Summer, too hot!
