In the King's dream (surah yusuf) 7 cows and 7 spikes of wheat. 2. THE PARABLE of those who spend their possessions for the sake of God is that of a grain out of which grow seven spikes. (surah Al baqara) 3. Fast 3 days in hajj and 7 more upon returning. ( surah Al baqara) 4. From one sea Allah extends 7 seas (surah luqman). 5. In the disputed number of the people of the cave they say 7 and the 8th is their dog. (surah Al kahf) 6. Eid prayer has 7 takbirat ( Allahu Akbar 7 times. 7. Total rakat in 5 daily prayers is 17. 8. Each person among you is gathered his formation (his creation) in the realm of his mother's womb in 40 days in the form of sperm (thick water) then becomes a clot of blood for the same period (40 days), then becomes a clot like a piece of meat, for the same period of time (40 days) (Sahih al-Bukhari No. 3208). From Anas bin Malik R.A. that the Prophet SAW said, "Anyone who prays in congregation for the sake of Allah SWT by saying takbiratul-ula for forty days (40 days) will get two freedoms, namely freedom from hellfire and freedom from hypocrisy" (Hadith Narrated by Imam Tirmizi) and lastly that i know "A man has come to Saiyidina Umar ibnu Khattab r.a. then Sayyidina Umar r.a. also asked: Where are you? He answered: I am in Ribat (border). Saidina Umar r.a. asked again: How many days were you in the Ribat (border)? The answer is thirty days. Then Saidina Umar r.a. said: Why don't you spend forty days? (Kanzul Ummal, Juzuk 2 page 288, quoted from the book 'Risalah ad Da'wah)

There's no need to focus on the meaning of numbers. Allah said in the Quran that He created everything in pair and in pattern. So those numbers are just tiny particle of the patterns masterfully created by Allah. What we need to focus on are the signs (Ayahs) that proved Allah's existence, His message, and how we can worship Allah in the way He wanted to be worshipped. Everything else that takes us away from those three is a diversion created by Shaytan. Shaytan would do anything and everything to stall us from worshiping Allah. May Allah protect us from the works of evil. May Allah gives us clarity on which things are good/beneficial and which things are the works of Shaytan. Ameen.
