It happened to me as well, once I was very sad about something. My heart felt very heavy at that time, I wanted to listen to music to calm myself.. But then I decided to just read Quran pak (pak in my language means clean and pure.) I was crying at the time and just randomly opened it and started reading the translation, after reading for a while I was shocked as what I was reading was like most perfect solution for my recent problem. Since then whenever I am distressed or want to find guidance I just read Quran Pak and most of the time I find the solution while other times I see interesting truths about the world hidden in it.. That is why i am still learning the Quran from a teacher. I listen to Nouman Ali Khan teach Quran by explaining every Arabic words in ayat/verse of Surah in the Quran. The structure and style of linguistic in the Quran are very fascinated to me when i learn more deeper. How the ayat came down. How and why the rules were in the Quran. How Allah talks and address to the many audiences/listeners (Muslims, the Jews, the Christians, the Pagan Mecca). How Allah refute the claim or idea came from the Jews, the Christians, the Polytheis, the atheis, the Material people and etc). How Allah gives many stories for us to take as lessons. How the mistakes from previous nation (Bani Israel) as an example for Muslims not to follow etc Nouman Ali Khan had a book called (Divine Speech) and KZbin called Bayyinah. The quotes he said is actually a part of a verse in the Qur'an. "... Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but the heart in the chest that grow blind" (Quran 22:46). The verse itself is a part of a surah named "Al-Hajj" or "the Pilgrimage", which will reach it's peak in the next 2 or 3 days for this year. And ends with "Eid Adha" or animal sacrifice days to honor the legacy of our father Abraham AS. Allahu a'lam.

There is no original sin. Adam and Eve prayed for forgiveness and God forgave them. Qur'an 2:37. Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. The prayer for forgiveness by Adam and Eve.
