You know what else makes a newborn stop crying? Being fed, being held, having their diaper changed, sucking a pacifier.....

Newborns actually cry fairly little from my experience. They have really simple needs. Eat, clean, sleep, repeat. They are very cute, noisy, smelly houseplants.

it depends. my parents couldn't make me stop crying for hours and hours no matter what needs were being met. some parents are driven to desperation by watching their children crying their hearts out and not being able to help. On the days where I wouldn't eat and would just scream from noon till night, I think my parents could have been conned into trying it

I have seen other oily huns do this and it has nothing to the wonders of the oil ‘calming’ the baby , if you distract a crying baby by shoving a strong smell in their face or rattle a toy in front of them or any of those things it temporarily distracts them but it doesn’t stop the reason they are crying. Babies always cry for a reason and if you aren’t attending to that reason and just wave oil under their nose it is only a temporary solution , the babies need still has to be met .

The baby in the video didn't even seem to be soothed to me - it appeared to be trying to push away the bottle (the mums like actively pressing down on the childs arm to keep the bottle in their face) and its breathing seemed to become more distressed/choked.

I just did the math....let's say she's been in for 7 years and is in the million club. That's $142k per year. Not a terrible salary, but depending on where you live that could be a bare minimum for a middle class lifestyle. If she's been in for 4 years, that's $250k. Better. Still...that doesn't include taxes or personal volume expenses, plus the expense of living like you're rolling in cash so that you can lure others into the scheme. I appreciate that you pointed out that the million dollar club doesn't have anything to do with being a millionaire!

The worst part? Nearly 94% of people who "work" for Monat lose money or make less than $86/year. The very small amount of people that do make the salary you mentioned have already put in thousands of their own $$ into the company, have no benefits, and probably work 60 hrs/week for that salary. I have no idea how anyone with a brain would think that a good deal or a good use of one's time. It's also not stable. Don't get me started on the stupid Cadillac that these girls are forced to lease/buy in their name and are essentially on the hook for the cost of the car if they lose their rank. I'm exhaused

For real. And these people put down working a solid 9-5 where you can disconnect from the job and not worry about it until your next shift instead of being on your phone 24-7. Not to mention that most jobs start a 401k for you for retirement and health plans. The American health care system is so expensive that just one health crisis could eat up all of their savings.

What I appreciate most though is that you balance criticism with a lot of compassion and empathy. Yikes! I absolutely love using essential oils, (diffusing, cleaning, and diluted rollers) but I can't imagine having my children just smell them straight from the bottle. People love to claim how natural and safe oils are, & while yes they're 'natural', they are also VERY potent when undiluted.

I’ve lived in Atlanta my whole life and I’m scared to see the aftermath of an event with people like this. None of these weird shampoo ladies seem like they are jumping to comply with the city mandates? Atlanta just hosted another huge convention and that one required masks, proof of vaccination or a negative test 72 hours prior to attendance, and everyone was literally screened at the door before entry.

My mom was in an MLM about 3 years ago I believe. Long story short she was able to recruit people she had maybe 2-3 checks that were decent but after a while the people that were below her couldn’t keep up with the monthly purchases. With that happening she was “ brainwashed” in believing to not give up on all the hard work that was put in and it got bad to the point where she would put in orders on a credit card and to this day she is in debt and has been out of the company for couple of years.I would not be surprised if all these Huns are in serious debt.

There is one additional very negative aspect that isn’t talked about as much. People at the top can’t quit, because once they do, they can’t pick up where they left off. With a so called 9-5 job, you quit and your previous work experience goes on your resume. Next job is often better, paid the same or more and is often a career promotion. When you leave an MLM, you’re back to nothing. You can’t continue at another MLM, you have start from scratch. And this is not a legitimate work experience for resume building. 9-5 not only provides stable pay, benefits and vacations, it also builds work experience/ resume.

These young people get involved in gangs to have a sense of community and are oblivious to the fact that they people at the top of the gang are profiting off of that. Prison gangs are the same way. The person at the top exploits these people wanting a community to get rich.

That baby...sounded happy, happy gurgling baby sounds. Until the hun shoved essential oils into the baby's face, at which point the baby grew silent...yeah. Even if the baby had been crying and the oils stopped that, it wouldn't be a good thing! What, do they think that shutting up the baby an any cost is the way to go? Idiots! As an aside, in the 90's, a friend of mine told me that in the countryside her family hailed from, there was a custom of actually putting crying babies into the oven and using the gas (!) to quieten them down. It "worked" in the sense that it did quiet them down...and occasionally killed them or at least caused serious damage. Shoving essentially oils into a baby's face, where they can affect not only the very tender skin as the air ducts and eyes, is a modern version of the same kind of utter carelessness. Sure, the oven thing is more obviously wrong and makes me wonder how on Earth it ever became a thing but we now have the internet that makes it extremely easy to research what essential oils actually do to babies.

Oh my goodness, that baby. That poor, helpless little baby. I've worked in daycares and spent a lot of time around really little ones and judging by the wee thing's body freezing up that baby was NOT calmed by the oil being shoved in their face. Those essential oils smell so, so strong and what's happening is the poor baby's senses are being so shocked, so stunned and overwhelmed that whatever need was making them cry was forgotten. Good gracious I can't believe that mother thought doing that was ok. Also, Savanna Marie talked about, in her Young Living deep dive that some of that mlm's oils are synthetic blends and if this oil happened to have synthetics in it, it could be harmful for a baby that small to even inhale, causing sinus or lung irritation. That made my heart hurt- I cannot stand little ones being treated so carelessly.

These MLM conventions are so funny to me bc in a regular org, if it's *your* company running the event, as an employee you go for free. My CORPORATE org runs hugely successful events every year and as an employee and SMM, I go for free and have the following paid for: flight, hotel, any food, any transportation. I also get to go to other industry events paid for by my org as a part of annual enrichment lol. No one is paying thousands out of pocket that they don't get reimbursed for in the "corporate" aka real world 😅 🤦‍♀️

Hi, I've just began watching your mlm series after finding the insanity one, and i like it so far but i really don't agree with what you said about essential oil. There are not just to smell good , you can treat some conditions like really hurtful pms in my case but they shouldn't be used on baby this young to smell because depending on the oil, like peppermint for exemple it can cause bronchial spasm and be neurological in high doses. Wishing you the best and thank you for the work put in your videos.😊

This is so unbelievable that people would be put in a position to spend so much of their own money for travelling/accommodations/meals/products out of their own pockets. Ugh. If I am doing that, it's for a vacation...not for a company event. 🙄

Um. Essential oils are super dangerous for the respiratory system of children under the age of 2. You're not even supposed to burn candles with essential oils in them, let alone allowing your newborn to smell them undiluted 😭😭😭 this is so sad and dangerous my heart is breaking.

I don't think that most people are judging the first lady. People probably didn't and don't want her in a mlm 'cause she's required to find someone else that will replace her at the lose money, make no money, and make less money than an $8 an hour minimum wage job. So if mlmer can understand anything about mlms, I feel like best one is the structure of mlms. That there's a requirement to have people in the ranks that only make commissions for the up line, which means loss of money or breaking even, and ranks that require so much work that 40 hour $8 an hour minimum wage job makes money and is less time working. So there will forever be struggling mlmers 'cause that's how they're structured. Forget about them being a pyramid scheme. Even if they are or aren't (we know that they are do to the FTC changing the definition), People have to lose money and to make money, they have to replace their ranks of money loss with someone else so they can lose money instead of them. That's why so many people that know that basic thing about mlms, don't want to ever join one. Why join to lose money and give the company free advertising? Hopefully this lady gets out.

I even believe the huns went off about it saying they were now being pushed down again lol.

I would love to know what you think of Life Activated. It is a CDB MLM but sells a few extension products. Livcana Livology Morvida. Also interesting what you say about the MDC in MLM because there are resellers on KZbin who use the same kind of misleading terminology when they claim to have "six figure" reselling businesses, since what they mean is that they have sold $100K worth of items over a period if time, it does not mean they are making $100K a year, but they want it to sound as if they do.
@HannahAlonzo
@HannahAlonzo 3 жыл бұрын
I will have to look into Life Activated! And YES I think the same thing happens in reselling as well! “Six figure” is such a massive misleading statement. Six figures in profit? Six figures in sales? Six figures each year consistently over several years? Six figures over ten years? I really wish resellers could be more straightforward with their earnings, especially when they are putting out videos and courses and claiming to have all of the hidden answers to amazing sales.

Ugh, I hate CBD MLMs. CBD is actually helpful but it's so easy to make so many claims are not backed up by science yet or just so left field that you can tell they were struggling to think of a story to tout on social media. I also work in the cannabis industry and we're held to a much higher standard legally (I'm in Canada so its federally regulated). Granted, I'm not worried about them cutting into the profit margins of the company I work for, but I'm worried about them making CBD sound like a miracle when it has limits and side effects.
