I got my math wrong because I forgot to multiply by 100! (It’s been a long day, please forgive me) The correct percentages are: 1.23% of people in the company are qualified for/on the Vegas trip 0.03% of people in the company are in the MDC Sorry sorry! 🙏🏼

Either way.. when she said "everyone in this room could be here" I did some quick math of my own. 4000 attendees is about 51 times 76 (the number of MDEs). So since money goes up through the pyramid and requires more market partners to put more people at the top, it would stand to reason the number of market partners should grow about 51 times in order for all 4000 people to hit the MDE soo that would require around 16 million market partners.. Obviously there are other factors but just had to illustrate how ridiculous that claim is.

Even when my terrible call center 9 to 5 that paid me only 11.50 an hour as a trainer (I ranked the same as a supervisor) sent us on a trip that had travel time, air fare, hotel, car rental, and all meals completely paid for. The time I spent doing work activities like conferences was considered on the clock and was paid for. This "free trip" is definitely not the flex they think it is.

Just to add an example from the dreaded 9-5 world, my sister was a sales manager for a hotel chain and surpassed her sales quota by a lot one year. Like by 200% or something crazy. So every year the hotel chain rewarded the group of top salesmen in the company with a reward trip to a 5 star hotel in Cabo, all expenses paid with a guest. And this was not a work trip, it was strictly a reward for their hard work. The only thing I paid for was to park my car at the airport (and I was the plus one!) The huns try to make it seem like the corporate world could never provide the rewards and lifestyle that their mlm does, but its just not true.

Yeah, my company does something similar. The top few salespeople from each region every get to go on an all expenses paid trip as a reward, with a plus one. It’s a really fun trip, we did one hotel Miami this year and it was basically, well, what monat claims it’s trips are. Except real - and we didn’t have to work during it

💯 my mom was a HOUSEKEEPER at a 5 star hotel in San Francisco. As part of the company’s year end party (before the pandemic), they gave away gifts via raffles and rewarded their top employees. Yes, this is super common in actual sales jobs! My husband (who also works from home and sets his own schedule), and his team, exceeded their sales goals and got an all expenses paid trip to a 5 star resort for them and one other person. It wasn’t even a work trip. We just got to go for 5 days and have a vacation for free. Not to mention his company sales kick offs are always in super fun locations, all expenses paid and they get to keep their airline and hotel points. And they do that twice a year. If you need “time freedom” and want to be a salesperson, then just get a real sales job. It is super easy to find remote sales work, and you get a base salary on top of your commission.

I've been there and still am to some extent. I decided to try the idea that you clean for 10 minutes every hour you are home and awake. I didn't think I would get much done but it adds up! I'm also very disorganized. So I sometimes use my 10 minutes to clean out a drawer. I not only organize it but it gives me space to put more in it so I don't have so much stuff sitting on surfaces and making my house look cluttered. As another person wrote, you are definitely not alone! Hang in there.

I've said it before and I'll say it here: I work for a Christian company and we don't do worship services as part of our work activities. It's weird for a secular company to do that, what about the reps who aren't Christian or religious at all? I'm glad Stuart isn't a pastor because yikes, but this is a big yikes too. I worked for a professional photography magazine years ago, and our advertisers always got editorial mentions. Monat is not getting hailed because people at those journals like their products. At 30:16 I have to give a correction. The Establishment Clause of the Constitution applies only to State actors. It wouldn't matter whether Monat reps were actual employees of the company or not, they're a private business and can engage in religious expression. However, they cannot discriminate against reps who choose not to engage in religious services sponsored by the company. There's a lot more nuance involved, but generally speaking 1A protections and Congressional restrictions are limited to State actors.
@mdeac48
@mdeac48 2 жыл бұрын
I was about to say something similar. The fact that all the reps are technically contractors might even allow them to cut ties with you for not worshiping (unsure). But, as an MLM they need everyone to join, so it probably doesn't come up often.
@PointsofData
@PointsofData Ай бұрын
@@mdeac48 They would not be able to discriminate against anyone they hire for choosing not to worship with them. That's illegal across the board in the US, no matter how you hire someone. The issue arises in proving you were fired for not worshipping tho, and most of the US is "at will" employment so even if you're a paid employee, the company does not need a reason to fire you.

I have thoughts. 1. How can they say one of the perks of the trip is “networking” when THEY ALL DO THE SAME THING. 2. Sooooooo you really don’t get that much free time to enjoy your “free” trip. 3. Didn’t they announce the new flavors at the Director summit? Why is everyone so excited? 4. Does it ever occur to them that if Monat can afford to have these weekly flash sales with such insanely low prices, that maaaaaaybe they’re getting ripped off? 5. Didn’t Angelique have like nine Rejuvenique oils on her shelf? That’s your high sales numbers right there. How many bottles does each rep have in their home? 6. Is she wearing lingerie. Why is she wearing lingerie. 7. “Team dinner”. Do they have to pay for those? I remember at Mary Kay seminar we had multiple dinner events we had to pay for. And less free time. 8. Last one. When you touched on faith manipulation, I remember when my aunt invited us to a Tupperware conference back when I was a kid. They hired Gary V (not Gary Vee, I promise), a famous local singer. The thing with Gary is that he is a pop star turned Christian singer. So when the fun party songs stopped, the whole concert suddenly turned into a Sunday worship service. As a kid, I didn't think much about it. But now I realized how a LOT of MLMs use religion as a way to make people stay. And it's especially effective for Christian-dominated countries

Because “you never want to take advice from someone who doesn’t have the level of success you want”. That’s probably why multiple girls were copying that one director’s stories. I absolutely love watching this I hadn’t even heard of MLM until I found you last week. It’s amazing to me how I hadn’t realised how much of everyday life is taken over by MLM companies. This video was rather shocking and sad that these people don’t understand that they aren’t helping themselves . Please make more continue to spread the word about the brainwashing . Your channel is by far the best one I’ve seen doing this kind of content I truly think that you can help and save people. 🥰❤️🥰

I love your videos Hannah I just found you and I’m binging them!! Ugh I got suckered into young living and monat (just buying) never joined. But the products are garbage and I really can’t believe how much money I spent on OILS. Monat made my hair greasy and I was told to use a smaller amount and to not put conditioner ONLY on my ends… I was like how am I suppose to brush through my hair with zero to no conditioner in it. 💀😅keep it up girl!!!

I hate this - the amount of emotional manipulation flabbergasts me. It's so hard to disconnect from that kind of community, so many of these girls have dealt with it from a very young age at home ,and then with their religion and now their 'job'. This is their normal and I fear it'll take a foundational change in our culture to save most of them

It's so much cheaper to just go to Vegas on your own dime than through an MLM. Imagine if I had to sell a certain amount of servers and network switches in order to get a TRAINING trip?! I don't think the bank would give me a loan for that 😅

I was in Nashville a few years ago during a Rodan & Fields convention. Thankfully we didn’t cross paths, but I had a Lyft driver spill the tea; he didn’t think too highly of them short of the fact they tipped really well. I don’t think R&F covers your rideshare tips, but you do you.

As a cradle Catholic who has worked as a nurse in a faith based hospital I am so disgusted by the faith manipulation that MLMs use. A career as a master manipulator...not a boss babe...not a small business owner...a puppet used as a manipulator using God and faith because u can't use logic and facts. It gives actual faith based companies and organizations a bad name. These people that know the truth and know their own struggle with the company and keep that a secret and said God led them to this company should be completely ashamed of themselves. I wonder what people think when then join the company through a friend who used God to reel them in. How do u stay friends with that person after they lied and manipulated u to throw ur money and time away. Sorry for the rant. It's just infuriating all the way around.

It scares me how many cult and MLM tactics were used by an old job of mine. Love bombing, victim blaming, shunning, pushing recruitment. It WAS a legitimate job with benefits, but you got major bonuses if someone you referred stayed with the company. I wouldn’t be surprised if the founder had a history in MLMs.

Just an random fyi, the “separation of church and state” is not in the 1st amendment, it’s actually from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote. Loved this video! I love seeing a peek into this freaky world 😂
@taylorpack1120
@taylorpack1120 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I was going to do that. The first amendment just states that Congress can’t make a law establishing a state religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. It says nothing about businesses combining faith with economic practices, in the same way as the first amendment doesn’t prohibit private businesses from limiting speech on their platforms. At the same time, it’s still extremely sketchy, and in my opinion, sacreligious, to use church services as a tactic to sell your product.
@JennyNichole07
@JennyNichole07 2 жыл бұрын
Just a quick thing from an attorney - the First Amendment "separation of church and state" doesn't apply to non-state actions. Private businesses, private individuals, etc. are free to conduct religious services if they choose to do so. The restriction on the establishment of religion applies ONLY to the government. Monat isn't a state/government actor, so they aren't bound by the First Amendment in that way. A lot of people misconstrue the First Amendment and how it is applied, including what constitutes "free speech." The only entity bound by the restrictions of the First Amendment is the government. So, the government can't host religious services for one faith to the exclusion of all other, but Monat, or any other corporation for that matter, can. It probably isn't common because most professional corporations don't engage in the kind of faith manipulation that MLMs do, but its rarity isn't because the First Amendment prohibits it.
