Fair neutral olive here as well. I purchased the Rose Inc after your review and it is my best skin match by far, so thank you. I also wanted to thank you for your continual commentary on overconsumption, specifically the reminder that makeup is a consumable purchase more akin to produce than rice. Recently I've been purposefully breaking some of my eyeshadows and mixing new colors to repress. It's a great way (I think) to get use out of every eyeshadow in a pallet even the colors I didn't like originally. I've found you can even change the consistency of shadows a bit by adding a tiny bit of a mixing medium like maybe a tiny bit of your favorite clear pore filling primer. I'd love to see you do a video trying this on some shadows you can afford to mess with :)

edit: I forgot to mention the alcohol trick. Maybe you're aware that if an eyeshadow breaks you can use alcohol to wet the eyeshadow and repress. Plenty of youtube tutorials on this method.

My absolute favourite kjaer weis blush is the shade abundance. It's a plummy taupe with shimmer. It looks fairly brown in the pan but goes beautifully plummy bronze when sheered out on the cheeks. IMO it's the best shade!

I constantly get bummed when I try a lip product on and it isnt anything like the taupey-brown neutral color which I thought it was. Everything turns orange on me. At least I have found some excellent grey mauve brown lipsticks which can color correct my fails.

Hi Hannah! I keep seeing you refer to the SAIE BEAUTY product as more of a primer, but it really works much better as a liquid highlighter, over foundation. Tapped in with fingers. It's one of my favorite Highlighters because it looks so natural on the skin and catches the light beautifully without looking metallic or powdery. I would love to see you try it again in that way. It doesn't work well as a primer, but amazing as a highlight! 😊💫💫

I am a fair olive too! I remember at the beginning of my make journey I bought MAC lady danger and chilli, both looking so unflattering on me. All warm brown eyeshadows looked odd too. At that time people were always saying yellow tone equals warm tone, and orange suits warm tone, so I kind of felt like an outsider lol. After learning I had olive tone, everything started to make sense and I used to binge watching pale olive friendly makeup contents. That's why I can totally relate to you when you are always looking for the slightly cool toned brown haha

I just received my very first Kjaer Weis order in the mail and of course I opened immediately. After much deliberation I went with the Abundance cream blush. As soon as I saw it I thought of you! It is one of the most gorgeous blushes I have ever seen! I thought of you though because the color is an amazing, slightly muddy, cool/neutral toned mauve pink with a hint of shimmer/radiance. It gives my cheeks a flush like what I would get after crying. It's amazing and you must order it!

The Wet and Wild Glass Correct was of my favorite new to me products this year. Some others: the Pat McGrath undereye powder, The Estee Lauder Brush On Glow BB Highlighter, Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift mascara and the Noctex Future Grunge palette.The other thing I've been doing is using Maybelline beige babe as a contour product on my cheeks, with a nude lipstick, KVD Divine. as a blush...A great way to pan lipsticks that you aren't getting through just as lipsticks. The game-changer for me though in makeup was getting the Kiyaki set from Sonia G for my birthday. Hooooboy do good face brushes make a difference.

I was really inspired by it and packaging is really gorgeous. But I am not going to purchase it for a number of reasons. I'll be doing the vibes. It's interesting that olive undertones make things look orange on you - I'm aggressively cool/pink toned and everything I try that isn't really far off the cool end looks so orange! I've basically given up on finding a bronzer that actually works on me haha, even that Kevyn Aucoin one is nowhere near pink enough, gonna try the Bobbi Brown Antigua next...

I did the same thing last year--made my own "special shades" palette. It's an old dual sided Z palette I had so I have colors on one side neutrals one the other and it is my fave thing to grab for some serious eye look leveling up. Actually I went on a depot rampage (buying the Z Potter depot thing was a serious help--only wish I bought it sooner tbh). It has allowed me to dupe "wishlist" palettes w/ my own collection into DIY palettes in a way I never could before and vastly increased my use of palette shadows.

That concealer looks pretty though I’m surprised to hear you say it’s your best tech ever since it looks decidedly cool and I thought you said you require a yellow toned concealer . I haven’t seen the WNW in my city yet but will have to give it a go. Primers are one of my biggest categories. Right now I use on dry skin days the glossier rich followed by touch en sol no poreblem. And on days I’ve not neglected to pre moisturize, usually ciate watermelon (it’s like milk hydromist without the acne)

I recently picked up the Dr. Jart Cicopair cream. It too is green, has SPF, and if you’ve tried it, what are your thoughts? I got a small size during the VIB sale and am not quite sure what I think on my pale (MAC NC10), neutral skin. On the one hand, I can see it cancels the redness-but is the red from just touching my skin while prepping my skin, or are my cheeks actually red?-and is the green making me look sallow from the other (yellow) undertone of my skin? Since you have equally pale, olive skin, I thought I’d ask. Btw, I have the Neo, but in Ibiza. It was a “I’ve wanted this for years” purchase made when I found it at Ross. I thought of Sahara for this year’s sales, but in the end, went with the light version of the Hourglass palette. That too was on my list for years.

Looking forward to best of video. If you enjoy the holiday smoke reflects I think you'd really enjoy Defiance. It is the shade I chose for myself and it is beautiful. There are only 3 things I can say I have consistently used all year. Elf wow brow, elf camo concealer and Maybelline's unstoppable eyeliner. I really enjoy the 2 elf products and see no need to change it up. Once used up, I'll continue to repurchase the wow brow and I will probably repurchase the camo concealer too. I wish I loved elf's mascara as much as you do, but I just don't. It is what I am currently using. I think I might try urban decays eyeliners next year and see if they're really as great as everyone says. Maybelline's smear after a while so I usually just use shadow on my water line but on days where I'm going for a quick easy eye look using Defiance or Roen's 11:11 quad I like to put on some eyeliner. I probably would wear eyeliner more if I didn't have to worry about smearing around my water line though. I feel like 11:11 should be on my list of most used since I actually panned a shade but I don't feel like I've used it much more than my sigma palettes which I've collected throughout the year since May or June. I do my eye makeup nearly every day but I rotate among my palettes similarly to how you rotate among your lipsticks. Everything else I tend to skip. I will say Fentys Diamond Bomb highlighter and Kaleidos' sky walker highlighter get incorporated into eyelooks frequently as toppers or on my brow bone. I do this often with the topper in Defiance too now that I have it.

I have the Auric Glow lust in the shade Pyrite. It is the correct undertone, but the shade is too dark the majority of the year. I can only wear it in the summertime. I like a glowy primer in the cooler months when my skin is dry. Unfortunately, the Auric Glow lust is too dark. I wish they would sell a mini size. I can’t justify purchasing another one. I don’t know what shade. I am a warm olive. I am a light medium in shade right now.

Does anyone know if you can pop out that kjaer Weiss blush from the packaging and put it into a custom magnetic z palette? It looks like it in the video 🤔

yes, the pans do stick in z-palettes! the red cardboard packaging is sticky instead of containing a magnet, so it's harder to do a lot of back-and-forth, but it's possible. The pricer Kjaer Weis compacts (the metal ones) are magnetic and the blushes can be removed and replaced with ease. And you could definitely just buy replacement KW blushes without any compacts at all and store them in a z-palette or Salt New York palette, etc.

I'm confused about the Armani: do you use cool brown or warm brown? You have #21 but your description seems to be #20 because you said you are always looking for more taupe colors that don't turn orange. Are you wearing warm brown 21? Thank you.

Essence's new foundation is my most used, it's funny, because I have dry skin, but I like to control where my shine goes, so I actually prefer a matte foundation. Other than that, I don't think I used anything the most, because I am constantly trying to rotate my products, equal love for my makeup children.
