Our toy stores disappeared mostly because of Amazon, the largest toy retailer in the U.S. Hamleys is the oldest and biggest toy store in the world and FAO Schwarz in New York is the most expensive store in the world. For $25 plus tax and fees you can spend the night in the toy store😮❤

I remember when I was in London last Christmas I went to Westfield and there is a hamleys, with moving rail above the entrance with lots of huge plushies and 🧸. We in Canada don't have big toy store like this

That store is so cute! I absolutely love it and miss having toy stores here. We only have Target and it's nothing as magical as Hamleys. I would pay more for toys just to keep places like that going for the children to enjoy!

We went years ago with 3 0f my grandsons [ all grown up now with kids of their own ] - they were on a mission and stampeded up the escalators to explore - it was packed to suffocation and we spent the whole time trying to track rhem down - happy days Hannah x

AS a fully grown person but a kid at heart, this was memory lane experience at times. Prices for this experience boarded on outragous, but maybe a place to view the product before purchasing online or a cheaper place. Nice to experience via you though, not sure how I would cope. Thanks for going to Hamley’s! My 18 y/o daughter and I were visiting from the US last month and wandered in and were overwhelmed by the noise and chaos (even though it was fun to see the toys), so nice to see someone else go through and make sense of it. We rushed through, it was so loud !

Thank you for the video! I do agree with you that certain things should be free when you go shopping in person...like those arcade games. I guess over the years they've realized they can charge for something that used to be free and they know people might pay anyway. Also, I do think the sound was better in this video. I do feel like I could hear you better here compared to other videos. But maybe that's just me.

Wow! HUGE toy store, HIGH prices, but superbly well-organized! The toy demonstrators make it fun. Most toy stores make me crazy trying to find a specific item, but this one looks like it would be easy(er). Hannah's hair looks particularly pretty today!

I can see why it may not work in a high-end toy store but I've heard of some retailers in Canada who will match the competitors' price if you can show it's being sold for less than they are selling it for. It takes a little assertiveness to try but it doesn't cost to ask. 😊👍👍

I loved this video. Hamleys use to be such beautiful store full of with what one could describe as real toys. Old fashioned toys like beautiful dolls prams and Im not talking that long ago. They use to stock exquisite dolls from America and Spain and unusual toys but now it seems to gear towards plastic boxed things. With such high prices. I hate those flying things always think they are going to woosh my hair. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day xx

My parents took me up to London in the 1960s when I was seven. Hamleys was smaller, but as a child I couldn't believe it. My dream come true. I was most interested in electric train sets - then Hornby, Triang and Trix. There was also the football board game Wembley and the ubiquitous Monopoly with Mayfair and Park Lane etc. Ah, but those were the days ... always children at heart.

Everything in Harley's is marked up for tourists. The LEGO Store is only a short walk away in Leicester Square and you sometimes get free gits with purchases.

The theatre and performance from the toy store staff is an art in itself. It would be well worth being an audience for that alone, [you're never to old for for that type of entertainment]. Harry Potter took off in a way that wasnt expected, its scooping up a next generation. Its a very marketable theme. [ Haven't seen a movie or read the books myself, though i nearly accidentally bought the leggings recently, until i had a closer look at the attractive motif 🤭 ]
