As a Vietnamese, I have a few tips for you to have a good trip. Vietnam security issues are quite safe, there are only a few small obstacles such as chaotic traffic, prices of goods or services in tourist destinations are pushed up. If it does not have a menu with prices, you need to ask the price before buying. If possible, take short trips by official bus or taxi. It's okay to ride a passenger motorbike, but you need to ask for the price in advance. It is not recommended to carry a lot of cash with you because although it has been limited in recent years, there are still some people who are lazy to work and specialize in pickpockets, stealing things in crowded places. Other than that everything is great for your trip.

Only a few young people steal snacks, they usually go by motorbike for 2 people and can snatch the phone of passersby, or they cut into the crowd to pickpocket. You can walk to take pictures and stand deep in the sidewalk. For peace of mind, you can enjoy the scenery by double-decker bus at Hoan Kiem Lake area, Hanoi Opera House, or take a cyclo... if you take a taxi, you should call the car from the phone number of the operator. In August, Hanoi sometimes rains but it only lasts a few minutes, unless on the occasion of the storm, it sometimes rains for 1 to 2 days. Group travel from Hanoi to Ha Long 3 days 2 nights usually costs 150 USD or more for 1 passenger including car from Hanoi, meals, hotel and return to Hanoi. You can find travel agencies on google and make an agreement by going directly to the company's office, do not transact money over the phone to avoid fake companies.

Come to Hanoi, you should try Bun Oc, Fish Noodle, Bun Rieu, Bun Cha, Banh Cuon, Beef Noodle Soup, La Vong Cha Ca, Corn Sticky Rice, Pia Cake... those dishes are easy to eat. 😊

That 2nd train street is a good alternative since they've closed down or restricted the original, but the original one is still way cooler due to all the cute cafes and how it's decorated...the atmosphere seems so much more exciting with all the people there and it's especially awesome at night. Hopefully they can build up the 2nd one as good as the first one if more tourists come. I like the flattening of the bottle caps on the tracks for souvenirs.

The first one is too commercial and has too many people plus u can’t go to a cafe of your liking as u get taken in by touts, we’d rather go somewhere nice and quiet where we’re not hassled 😊
