If it wasn't for the mirror being shot by madam Medusa that would not have left an impression on me and I would have forgotten about the entire Halloween special that this is attached to a long time ago. Thanks for posting this! The illusion is spoiled a bit because you can see the red of Conreid's tongue. The episodes from the 1950s when he appeared as the slave of the mirror were in B&W, so his tongue was just another shade of gray (and his other makeup was much less extreme).

They still reference scriptures in Disney films. Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place within a Cathedral and contains dozens of religious themes, from Esmerelda praying for God to help the outcasts to Frollo's attempt to murder Quasimodo as a baby being stopped by the archdeacon. Frozen has a very religious coronation. Simba is essentially the Prodigal son from the parable of the same name.
