That damn magic mirror used to scare the crap out me! Lol!

It was scary how the man in the mirror suddenly appeared in Walt's office, as a mailman with a long beard.

I’ve missed this episode, it’s so funny when magic mirror was getting bugged by bumblebee🤣

Again, that Disney quality shines through. Beats what kids are watching today, doesn't it? I think that Hans Conreid as the Slave of the mirror. He was a well known character actor of the day, and the perfect talk show guest. He played Thimble Rig in the Davy Crockett movie, and he did a film for us here in Denton, Texas.

Yes, absolutely Hans Conried! Most don't remember his role as Thimblerig in Davy Crockett at the Alamo!

“Every melodic theme has the mysterious power of conjuring up an image.” You know what? It does. When I redo a background score composition on my keyboard, it paints a visually different version of the story.

Between Captain Kangaroo and Walt Disney, how much stealth learning did we acquire to get an appreciation for classic musical forms?

I have to admit, it's so weird seeing this in black-and-white after being so used to the later color version that was first shown on "The Wonderful World of Color", which, of course, was the version used when this was shown later on the Disney Channel. There is also a severely shortened version of this program that was released theatrically in the 1970s as a short subject. That version was released on the UK Disney Channel VHS set, as part of their version of "Donald Duck Presents".

I love Walt's comic turns like this. He's so darned charming! Thanks for the care you take in keeping these videos coming. I know it's a lot of work with all that editing! THANKS a million, Brian! You're the best.

Really great seeing this. Walt really knew how to immerse you into the show. Quick question. With “When You Wish Upon a Star” during the aftercredits, do we have a clear version of it yet without the person talking about what’s next because it just sounds so beautiful.
