I actually enjoy watching a class player like Hikaru struggle a bit. When its not all just effortless and magical it is somehow more useful. Usually the moves are driven by some unknown process and it feels like you are watching a prepared show. With the struggle games, the commentary that Hikaru gives it feels real. Searching for advantages, second guessing yourself, feeling the pressure, managing your emotions, these are all things that mortal chess players deal with all the time. I actually respect Hikaru MORE for sharing this type of content. Well done for pushing through.

@GMHikaru Why are Arena Kings and Titled Tuesdays always uploaded in separate parts, as opposed to a single long format video, like it used to be? And the titles never clearly indicate that it's Titled Tuesday either? I'd think "Titled Tuesday" would always be denoted in the title; it's a huge event with a massive public interest and following... should be very easily accessible and uploaded in a clear lineal fashion based upon date of event.

Could have sacrificed the knight at 4:49 and then take back e3 with the other knight to threaten the queen on either c7 or d8 and bring your queen in qxd5 taking the other pawn -- being down a knight for 3 pawns, but in a powerful position with your queen and knight with the queen on d5 and knight on e6 -- either a queen trade or you've pinned both rooks.

The fact that Hans is still allowed to play in any FIDE tournament is a disgrace to every GM who dedicated their lives to the game. This clowns 2000 level analysis is an absolute joke. He gets smoked by 2300-2400s in the FIDE Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship, yet supposedly is almost 2700. Single handedly introduced a massive cheating era of online chess which has also led to a deflation in rating for the top GMs in the world who are now losing points to cheaters. What an absolute joke and disgrace to the chess community.
