I've been saying this forever but Chess needs to drop the dress code and allow trash talking during the game. It would add an element that would make it interesting for a general audience to watch, and they need a bad boy or "NATE DIAZ/Nick DIAZ" of chess, and I think Hans can be that. Hans if you read this up your trash talk homie. Go watch Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler and go listen to Joe Rogan talk about that fight. You need to do that in chess, just start talking mad trash, and bring eyeballs to you, and to chess. Eyeballs bring money and sponsors.

Hikaru has shown he can beat even Magnus in endgames. He doesn't have the same speed anymore. I think Hikaru underestimates his endgame potential and over relies on his speed. He might benefit from a play style change, and the changeup might be less rough on his stamina. Hikaru could surpass Magnus in endgame creativity. He needs to lean into that.
