Hansa-Park Day One Vlog May 2019

Join us as we head to Hansa-Park in Germany for our first ever visit! In this action packed vlog we share our first reactions to this park including our full reviews from Schwur des Kärnan, Fluch von Novgorod and many more of the parks major rides.
We also ride the tallest and fastest gyro drop tower in the world that's new for 2019 at the park. Highlander stands at 394ft and provides fantastic views across Hansa-Park and the surrounding area. We also share off ride footage from many of the other rides at the park including one of the strangest flat rides we've ever experienced, an epic dodgems and much more!

Karnan simply proves that Gerstlauer is not such bad creator of roller coasters. Just like Novgorod. I have been visiting Hansa park since 2007, and they keep surprising me. Have you seen the beautiful flowerscarpets in this park? Beautifully maintained with a lot of love for the park. But the park now really lacks a family ride such as a dark ride after Highlander.

When you come to America, I hope you get a chance to ride one of the 140 Foot ARM drop towers. I think Knoebels has one... They look like carnival drop towers. They are scary forceful. Plus, the brakes apply so late that you think you are going to crash straight into the ground. ARM is the king of drop towers. They are short little drop towers, but they are AMAZING.

They actually added some more theming to the queue this year. Cos I was there last October and it the queue wasn't as themed as it is now. Also they recolored the coaster from a like kinda green to the black that it has now

I just realized this but if Disney ever does a coaster themed to the Avengers, it should be a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster because Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet

I really want to visit this park for karnan and novgorod. 1) Karnan looks amazing and 2) novgorod has the second fastest acceleration in the world. looks incredible

If you haven´t make it yet, try to get the park in atumn during the "Herbstzauber". It is a speycial time in October and rduring this the park is open until 21:00 when it is dark. And then try to ride "Flucht von Novgorod" when it is dark outside and the park is lighted. That makes the ride totally different. ;-)

Having been to this park last year, I have got to agree on a lot of things you said. The operations were much better by the sound of it the day I went, pretty busy but Kärnan went through quickly! I did have a couple questionable experiences like being stuck in the row picking room of Karnan for 45 minutes. Also the restaurant you went to is my all time favourite theme park food period, totally fantastic. I will say that if this park puts in all the music around the park and got a few replacements and stick with the quality rides they really will be one of the best in Europe, not quite there yet, but they're surely on a good path👍 Awesome vlog again, thanks for sharing :)

Was looking forward to this vlog ever since I talked to you at Phantasialand Wintertraum and you said you plan to go to Hansa Park soon! Great to hear your opinion on Kärnan, which I was absolutely blown away by when we went last year. Shame it couldn't make you change your mind about Gerstlauer but oh well, you don't always have to have rational reasons for why you don't like something! Anyway, thank you for this great vlog, I'm going to watch the rest of it now ;)

In my opinion Novgorod had the best staff in Germany in the last years. But now there are new operators and I also experienced that they told a person very loud and aggressive that it isn't allowed to do video recordings in there. Last year and before it was never forbidden by the operators. The instructions of the park (park rules) also do not prohibit it at the moment.

The Bell was at Wiener Prater, where you pay per ride, before. But the formely owner has definetly not hear the bell. With that small capacity it was a bad Business from the start. He is so lucky, the Hansa Park bought it. It looked great in clean with working fire effects. Like a little belLOCAN. The park is a bit like a scandinavic sommerland, were the longest ques are during vacations. Also the catchement area is half a small crowded landscape and half the sea. Thats why you mostly get a full park ERT between the weekends. Thanks for taking us with you

I can’t do drop towers. I always feel sick however I always try and give them a go once. Much prefer coasters! We did Hansa back in 2004 and it has changed so much!

The Bell is now gone. They're building a new pirate themed kids area there (Awilda's World) with a junior drop tower and a boat ride. Was supposed to be done, but got delayed due to covid.

So glad I never fully watched this vlog when it came out. Would have given it a miss based on al your negative comments. I was there on Monday and it was absolutely awesome! Sadly the experience of the two main coasters was a bit compromised. Because of Covid, we did not get to see all of the queue lines and the preshows in the lines were turned of. But still... what a beautiful mini Europa Park. Highly recomended and definately a two day park.

Actually, KARNAN” is not a german building, the ride is based on a medieval tower located in the south of sweden in a town called Helsingborg!

Karnan and Flug at this park are the best coasters Gerst. have ever built. Period.

I found Karnan to be quite smooth and enjoyable so I guess its very subjective roughness of coasters, the lap bar made you feel you'd slip out of it on the vertical lift hill which added to the fun factor for me. I was on the back 3 times and only got the 2nd row the other time I did it. Fluch von Novgorod was way better than Saw and also very smooth. Pity I didn't get to try Nessie and Roland but the day I went was the press event day for Highlander so they closed the area around it. I got to the park from Hamburg via the train, its really easy with a change of trains at Lubeck. From Sierksdorf station to the park is only a half mile walk. A one day park for me but if you have kids in tow a 2 day park as there is a lot for kids to do (1.25's can ride Fluch von Novgorod and 1.3's can do Karnan).

Nothing better than First time visiting - Vlogs. :) Two rides in and im in love with the theming in this park. Im a bit of a sucker for old shit, medieval and older/ fantasy'esq styles. It do need some work though and they really need to get more staff! Overworked cranky staff is no fun for anyone.
