"Hanthana" full moon is seen by visiting PERADENIYA botanic garden. I got Photos near MAHAVELI river inside BOTANIC GARDEN. Colombo "SARASAVIYA" was the place where I got the Degree & lectured as a Lecturer. These days when I visit PERADENIYA Botanic garden, I play this song & listen from Headphones or Earphones while watching the Botanic garden enjoying the scenic beauty of MAHAVELI river.🎉❤❤❤

I'm so proud to say that Dammika Bandara sir is my Sinhala teacher.
Visharada Amarasiri Peiris' 'Hanthanata Payana Sanda' is a mesmerizing symphony that evokes a whirlwind of emotions in just a fleeting moment. The hauntingly beautiful melody and soulful voice weave a captivating spell, ensnaring hearts in its enchantment. The lyrics, like pearls strung together, convey profound emotions, sparking a sense of connection with the soul. With each note, the song transcends boundaries, unifying listeners in its embrace. The gentle flow of the music carries me through a tranquil journey, as if floating on a cloud of harmony. The singer's soulful voice gracefully blends with the soul-stirring melody, creating an enchanting symphony that resonates with every fiber of my being. During the enchanting melody, a lover's heartache echoes. He yearns for his girlfriend's happiness, knowing he cannot provide the life she deserves. The love they shared was beautiful, but he realizes his limitations. Embrace the educated minds at the university, where your dreams can blossom. I may not have much to offer, but I give you the gift of freedom. “Let go of me, and soar towards your potential." With love in his heart, he releases her hand, urging her to find happiness in the arms of a university-educated suitor who can cherish her brilliance and share in her aspirations. The selfless lover, in this bittersweet moment, finds solace in knowing that he has given her the chance to enjoy the bright prospects that await her.

Hardly come across this notion of English literature from a Sri Lankan. Such a brilliant, flawless and super sleek explanation of the meaning of the song. Epic !

Hanthana is behind James Peiris hall where I stayed in 1964 (and got ragged too). Brings back those wonderful memories.
