I own an older version from sometime around 2005 or so. It's held up very well & overall I like it. Only 3 complaints I'd have are 1) it's a tad tip heavy for my preference but no worse than many Viking era swords. 2) the transition going to the filler is a bit abrupt & may cause drag when cutting softer targets. 3) my version is peened but clearly it's a rod Tang not the rectangular ending you see on the one in the vid. So since the pics online & the sword here both seem to have the issue fixed it's no longer an issue. I also own the stage/re-enactment/practice version of this sword which does have a rectangular peen. It's weighted & balanced noticably different, the grip is different & the pommel is thicker but it took is solid g durable. It's too stiff a blade for HEMA sparring, but solo drills it wonderful for. It's wide edge is safer than sharp steel for training. Also it would be good for costuming where steel is allowed. It would still be an effective impact tool so again I don't feel it's suitable for sparing
