Allysia, today I bought a Korg B2 because already need to make a step forward (a piano with proper weigth, 88 keys, etc.) and is because all the amazing thinks I learned with PianoTv. First I went for the Mozart's allegro in B minor (because if he could do it with six years old hands, I can do it too). Next I went with the minuete in F major, and I learned a lot about articulation, even with my spring keys and 4 octaves. After that I learned the fantasia in g minor from Telemann and I love it, so dark and deep. After that, I learned a bourree in e minor, from Leopold Mozart. Oh, and before all that, a prelude in e minor from Telemann too. All that amazing songs I learned is thanks to you Allysia and all the hard work you put on the channel. Of course I follow a lot of music channel, but you really inspire me to learn and push it a little bit further. Now I have a pedal (yes!), and already trascribe your song Nostalgia, so tomorrow I can learn it and use the pedal a little bit. I'm a drummer, but the sustain pedal feels alien right now, haha. Anyways, hope you have a great year! Best wishes from Argentina

And the password of the year is: Augmentation! If we could subjugate ourselves to a little augmentation, perhaps we can arise and stabilize. Happy New Year!! ✌🏼😎✌🏼

This year I really want to focus on becoming a better composer, I'm self taught in a lot of areas so its been a journey, but my plan is to come up with one 4 chord progression every morning. See how it changes throughout the year

Happy New Year, Allysia! So awesome to hear about your plans of going to University. I can relate to having that thirst for knowledge. I can't wait to hear your up coming music as well! Although unofficial, last years word for me was "Integration". I spent last night pondering a word for this year and I have decided: "Determined" is my word for 2022.

Determined, that's a good one! How did "integration" play out in your year when you look back on 2021?

Congratulations on your decision to continue your education. I wish you every success. You won't regret it. I went to college as an adult. It was difficult working and going to school, but I did it. Don't procrastinate! You like to read so you're ahead of the game already. If full-time is too much, chip away a couple classes a semester. No word of the year for me.

A very admirable and also personal decision to decide to go to school for further education. I'm not sure making this big decision will help with stability and chilling out for 2022 though 🤔🤔. Any ideas of specifics yet for your time at university? Always wanted to shoutout your very lengthy blog post on deciding on a city to live in which I found very interesting. I enjoyed the thorough, well researched and very concrete and genuine approach you took.

Thanks so much Thienan. :) And you're right, "chilling out" might be difficult with the extra workload - I guess I see it less in the sense of "relax and do nothing", but more in the sense of, "have a stable, relaxed energy". :)

We have very similar ideas about process-oriented goals and my word for the year is consistency! Stability might be a bit of a reach for me but definitely along the same lines. On the note of stability though, I noticed that my year-over-year goals have remained largely static for the last few years (improve/maintain health + relationships + occupation, and improve at music, art). Not sure if that means I've narrowed in on longer term goals or if I'm getting too comfortable *shrug*

Hey nice, "consistency" was definitely the one I almost chose! For me, socializing and travel (even very basic travel) are the two things that keep everything zesty, even if I do a lot of the same things from one year to the next.

@@TheCriminalKid Hard agree! And both socializing and travel really took a backseat because of COVID. Since I started traveling after getting vaccinated, I haven't really stopped, and seems like I'm looking at a move to a new city (NYC) now, purely because it provides so much more novelty!

Uni is a great goal I’m in a similar situation, never been but have thought of it often Would want to plan before hand to be in either part time or a stable full time study role but 2023 would be my goal to start Planing and prepping for then

That's kind of where my head was at in 2021 - I wanted to get all my ducks in a row before making an attempt at Uni. Good luck!
