I have always thought of you as a philosopher. Regards from Baltimore.

It seems I'm just slow to come around to what's readily apparent. :)

I listened to the rest of the podcast on Spotify and enjoyed it more than I thought I would👍. I think it's made me very aware of how much I love listening to you speak. But I've also realized how much I love to watch you on KZbin because I've grown very fond of your hand gestures.

How come you're not majoring in Music Allysia? What am I missing🤔? Anyway, I took introductory Psychology my 1st year at Uni and loved it, I learned some really insightful stuff about human behaviour that I've never forgotten. Although I majored in Computer Science.

I spent 30 years of my life, from childhood, being pretty immersed in music, and made it my occupation in my early 20s (it still is my occupation today). Ultimately I was yearning for something new to learn. :)

@@AllysiaMarie Super lovely to hear from you, Thanks. And I can totally relate to what you say. If I could go back to Uni I would wish to study something new/different as well. I'm particularly fascinated with Cosmology and Astronomy. I've spent pretty much my whole adult life working in IT😅

@@Vicnsi Very cool about cosmology/astronomy! If I've learned anything from my semester with Astronomy 101, it's that I'm not a natural sciences person in the slightest, and have much respect for those who are.

You are lucky to study this at a uni level, most people simply cant afford to do this due to only being able to spend money on uni courses to get work. By the way who are your favourite philosophers? I love learning about Hegel but he is so dense to read, hopefully one day I will crack the phenomenology of spirit

I am lucky! It's tough to study in conjunction with working though. I'm too new to the field to have real favourites, but so far I have really been into Sartre and Ricoeur. Super excited to get into Kant. Hegel seems impenetrable! 😂

Why? - Because you are a rebel at heart - ('they',.. don't want you to choose it) philosophy, in of itself, is crippled by the fact that there is actually no answer, to the question of life. (i.e. - life is a problem to be solved, is an incorrect view) But it still retains that tantalizing, close relationship to pure math's and physics, that is undeniable. Enjoy.
