Wood 🪵 Chicago is Fire 🔥 ! I got introduced to Wood Chicago from Scott Munie , a DJ on WPLJ NYC. He introduced Chicago on stage at Carangie Hall and is on that live Album side 1 just before In the County kicks off.. He'd play a track from Chicago 5 in the Afternoon. Never heard anything like that blues jazz rock tracks.. every song 🎵 on that record is mind blowing.. years later living in vail colorado alma mora was on a juke box in a log cabin Mexican joint.. the B side of Saturday in the park.. the old 45s. Thank you so much.. my favourite guitarist... thanks ❤

Thanks so much for this Terry Kath retrospective and tribute. I was literally in shock when I heard of his passing. So tragic. I was a trombone player and big Chicago fan. I saw them several times in Houston and once in Indianapolis. They always put on a stellar show and Terry was always amazing. He was such a talented and underrated artist. Whether it was song writing, singing or unbelievable guitar playing, he never disappointed. Alma Mater is sung in such a heart-felt, soulful way that it always touches me. He left us way too soon. Thanks for the wonderful memories, Terry. R.I.P. "Tell Me" from the movie "Electra Glide in Blue" is another great vocal by Terry Kath, (written by James William Guercio). It plays after the final, shocking ending of the film. A piece of trivia you probably know, is that he played a key role in the final scene of the film.

Thanks for watching and commenting, Jeffrey. Yes, Terry’s passing was shocking and tragic…I’ll never forget that day, hearing of his passing. I’m very familiar with Electra Glide, and of course Terry’s legendary vocal on that song. In hindsight, songs like Alma Mater and Tell Me feel even deeper and more profound. This was always one of my favorite TK songs.

@@andrewthomas9777 Yes, I was! Twice in 75, twice in 76, and once in 77 for one of his final shows with the band. 75 was the best!
