Happy feet is an acid trip of a movie to describe. Penguins sing to each other to "Get it on", Ellijah Wood plays a brain damaged penguin who can't sing, but rather dances, Lovecraftian horror Krill swarms, Cult surrounding an emperor penguin wrapped in plastic, horrifying depiction of aquariums, dancing to stop overfishing, and actual freaking aliens. Happy Feet truly is the movie of all time.

I remember watching Happy Feet, but never even knew this existed. I feel like they should have had the aliens appear in the sequel through a cameo or in some other way.

Remember the UFO from the Happy Feet mobile game? I wish one day, someone will download the game and upload some gameplay footage. I really wanna see how the mobile game is like, especially the ending with the actual aliens.

There are a few captures on KZbin, but I'd also appreciate a longplay of some sort showing the Aliens. I guess if no one has something up, eventually I can try to do it myself.

This sounds like it would’ve been a lot like echo the dolphin (ocean dwelling animals crossed with alien invaders), I want to know what they look like! Also my favourite penguin is the blue fairy penguin.

Just the fact that the director of Mad Max originally wrote this movie to be a Lovecraftian-inspired cosmic horror movie is wild to think about. It recently dawned on me that The Project Blue Beam Conspiracy Theory is basically just the plot of this movie too. Happy Feet? aka kids dancing on TikTok Makes you wonder why they changed the script last minute ntm the darkness and deaths of several actors that worked on this movie shortly after

Honestly, I wanna see the alien penguins. I don't care if they look uncanny, finding out what their desgins are will be satisfying enough.(well for me at least...)

This all actually makes perfect sense, and while it also fits in with the other weird stuff in the movie like the Great Guin and the live action humans, it ALSO explains weird things that DON'T fit in the final cut of the movie, like the space imagery used throughout, most notably with the opening credits and the logo being in the sun, and with the end credits taking place on a "stage" with a galaxy background. I don't see why this was cut, like fuck it, movie's weird already in the final cut, why not go all the way and do straight up aliens?

Honestly finding out about the aliens makes the space stuff make so much more sense. Ever since I first saw the film I found it strange and mesmerising.

Happy Feet was always my favorite movie! I’ve been obsessed with penguins my whole life. Penguins are so cute and derpy. But the symbolism in happy feet is insane… Anyways! My favorite species of penguins would be: *Humboldt *Gentoo *Emperor *King Penguins *Adélie Penguins

This was such a fun video! I had no idea about any of these plans for Happy Feet, so it was so interesting to learn about more random ideas that never made it to the screen! I love your video style too, it's easy to switch between listening to your videos while I'm working, to actually enjoying the visuals you include with the video - it's also awesome that you show your soruces and information on screen :)

Am i the only one who thinks that the art for the alien weapon looks like a penguin? Like its peak its the aurora and the eyes are the blue things on the top of the weapon. Idk it may be just me

@@GarciXDD No no, they're right, it's 100% true that they were meant to be penguin shaped. In the OG script (which is fully available online for free) they're explicitly described as giant penguins.

I actually find one more evidence of aliens in original Videogame for PC and consoles. But it's hidden in some belly slide levels it's literally giant frozen figures that look a lot like penguins but the game is old so it's not a 3d object rather a texture overlay on some of the walls of the ice tracks on different levels. How i know that? I just rip off all 3d objects and levels from the first original game with textures and sound files closer look on them in Blender give me better view perspective. Also has exclusive clear audio tracks of young Elijah Wood he is not that rare but still and Brittany Murphy(RIP) and some others i literally deconstruct game brick by brick. So yeah i have a quite large collection of characters from first movie.

The movie was never meant to be a children's movie in the first place! Warner Bros. forced them to rewrite it to be more marketable.

Nah, idk why they deleted it, but it was probably not bc of that. I read the scene of the og script where they appear, they're pretty chill all things considered, they are just really big penguins and the movie originally ended with one of them even feeling inspired by the Earth penguins to the point to starting to dance to boogie wonderland. A giant dancing alien penguin wouldn't be the most "not kid friendly" thing to happen in the movie, at least not compared with the many scenes where other animals try to eat Mumble or the whole thing with the zoo.
