What you mentioned about running the blade in tight spots is so true. 😆 I thought it was just me with that. You handled those stops, especially the first one well. Hopefully your part will come soon for the hopper camera. Seems as though this employee & driver shortage is really starting to affect so much of our everyday lives. Stay safe out there brother, and as always, thanks for sharing with us.Thumbs up all the way👍👍👍😎💪

You know how it is - head on a swivel ! You aren’t kidding about the driver shortage, it’s hurting us pretty bad right now as a small company. Especially growing at the rate we are. In the meantime I’ll just keep taking that OT ! Stay safe as well brother, always appreciate you 👊

Autocars are awesome to drive.....too bad the cab is wider than the body. Cheers from Vancouver BC Canada.

Agreed ! Love the ride, room, and visibility of the wide cab but it sucks on tight enclosures and tight spaces. Cheers dude ! Thanks for the comment.

You aren’t kidding ! I’ve been doing it for 4 years now and I feel like I’m just now really learning some serious patience. It’s always important to take your time and not get in a hurry. That’s how you eff up 😅 I know.

Any way you can get some hopper cam footage? Good video!
@hopperhustle3 жыл бұрын
Hoping to have my hopper cam mount fixed soon so it can be seen on the monitor ! I unfortunately don’t have a GoPro, I just use my phone to record but may look into one in the future.

I know what rough riding is. I rode on a Hendrickson construction truck that was built in 1966 and those were really rough. But I love the camera monitor that you have in the cab. Not only do you have the rear monitor that is constantly on, and you have the hopper cam, but also a passenger side cam. Normally you see good out the passenger side of the vehicle is if the vehicle happens to be a school bus. For those who want to know the make of this truck, these are some of the latest but one of the fewest products on the market built by Autocar. I remember the times when on most cabovers, if you had a 2-piece windshield, both windshield wipers were independently operated. They had two valves to run them. Republic Services has a pretty big fleet of these Autocar trucks.

How about a dump site visit
@hopperhustle Жыл бұрын
We dump at an incinerator and they are strict even about phone usage inside. I can see about pulling off something on a Saturday, atleast at a transfer when I run one of those routes by one we dump at. Our company keeps the front loads out of the landfill 99% of the time.

@@hopperhustle Oh Ok...LOL your next door to my home state and city Chicago, IL... That's why I asked, but couldn't see or read state name from any license plates.. Your environment looks just like ILLINIOS!! My parents has this company called GROOT that handles the trash in their neighborhood in ILL.. I moved to Phoenix, Az and I see our trash man with his front load truck every other day.. That's what made me go on youtube and look at videos about this, strangely.. I came across yours and I like it..LOL Never really thought about what really goes on with your job other than of course getting the trash!! Great videos man!!

how do you know where to go. or do you do the same route every day
@hopperhustle3 жыл бұрын
Same route everyday. Sounds boring but I like knowing what I’m doing daily. I know the route in my head but we use a route app on a tablet to mark off stops as we go. You can use the app to map to the locations too if it’s a new stop or you’re new to the route.
