Great song by the first family of Southern Gospel Music. The most talented "Happy" Goodmans gladdened many hearts for decades. This group walked the talk. RIP Goodmans; no doubt you are enjoying your homecoming.

Goodman Family had a certain “sound” and they perfected it and seldom strayed from it. They almost always had a quality band backing them which can only enhance the vocals. This clip has Eddie Cook (piano), Larry Strzelecki (bass), Duke Dumas (guitar), Jack Smith (steel), and Ricky Goodman (drums).
@sharonpinner12072 жыл бұрын
That sound is what broke them up! Rusty wanted a new sound and Howard and Vestal said no and left the group

i am starting to recognize that Rusty Goodman is/was a top level, top of the tops, a talent that is equal to or excels all artists in our Nation's history. plus i have only run across a few lead or second tenor singers that can sing solid bass. Rusty Goodman in my view is a superior bass singer than Richard Sterban and that going a long way cause he is top level. i bet Rusty could play several if not all instruments and knew shape notes almost at Mozart level. rare one person can be so gifted. assured the gift came from our Heavenly Father and He picked Rusty out to be a chosen vessel. "Let Your Fingers Do The Walking" is a short song that just in last month helped bring my good friend to The Lord. in 2014A.D. what can it be but The Holy Spirit!

Great upbeat song! Thanks for posting all the Jubilee clips, akdal83! Where did you find them? I've watched a number of the Goodmans' clips, and it looks like Sam is just not his usual bubbly self in this one, but he still brings it. Rusty and Happy Howard are really believing what they sing!
