GREAT video!!!! Thank you. I just bought the same pom pom maker yesterday and spent the evening making pom poms☺️. I found that if I use 2 strands of yarn it takes me half the time to wind. Also, I used 1 strand brown, 1 strand beige on some (some are solid colored) ........I'm making bunnies for Easter for my grandbabies!!!! One Pom Pom is small, the other is larger....I'll tie them together. The bunnies will be an assortment of colors. I'll be sewing on beaded eyes, a nose, ears, and whiskers. So anxious to do the first one to see how it turns out!!!! Looking forward to watching more videos from you!!!!

Thanks so much for the demo on how to actually open and use the pom-pom. My poms turned fabulous! I found that the poms turn out nicer with a few more wraps in the middle than at the edges.

Thank you so much for showing me how to make pompoms. I went right out and ordered the four different sizes of Clover pompom makers. Being a very frugal crafter, using left over material from one project to use on another, I figured out that you can actually use the fluff from shaping your pompom to stuff small projects that don't require a lot of stuffing (i.e. felt Christmas ornaments). Try it, you will love it. Thanks again. :)

@SpiritBear127 жыл бұрын
If the pompoms themselves fall apart, that means your tying thread wasn't tight enough around all the strands of yarn that make up the pompom. Wind the tying yarn around the pompom strands twice, pull on both ends real tight, but not so tight as to break the yarn. Now when you make the knot, do a normal knot, but before you tighten it down, wrap the yarn through the knot one more time, so it goes through the knot twice, now tighten it down nice and tight and pull on both ends hard, but again, not so hard that you break the yarn. Now, make one more simple knot and pull that one tight too. That is called a surgeon's knot. The special way you make the first knot by wrapping the one length of yarn around the other one twice helps to prevent that knot from slipping loose before you get to tie the second knot to secure the first one.

I have discovered that wrapping with consistant loose tension will prevent the need for excess trimming. If some wraps are tighter than others when you cut the yarn they pop back shorter and the loosey goosey wraps don't so then you have different strand lengths and "edges" you have to trim.
@rhonaliddle17716 жыл бұрын
