I really like most of your patterns but this one I love. I've made several of these hats to donate and also for family because they are not only beautiful but the are easy to make. Your videos are great. I cannot hear so I ususally use closed captioning but on your videos there are also the subtitles that are at the top which make following you very easy. Thank you so much

Thank you too! I am very grateful for your comment. I do not do anymore for new videos at the top subtitles because takes so long time to write twice, captions and at the top, sorry about this. But for captions, I do it manually and I put a longer time into showing captions then I say words to make it comfortable for people to see longer what need to do. Also, you can go to settings - playback speed and change the video speed to slow if need it. You doing a great job making hats and donate very nice of you.

Love this pattern.Your instructions were very easy to follow. What really helped was when you stretched the project so I could see the rows and work that had been done. Thank you so much as I am making these for Cancer Patients. I would love to make this for my 7 year old granddaughter. Aran or Worsted weight yarn (Stylecraft) #4 100g ball/196m - 214 Yards 100% Acrylic Child Head Circumference: 19 - 20" Hat Circumference: 18 - 19" Hat Height: 7.5" - 8" up to you how long. Chain 3. R 1. Start in the 3rd chain from the crochet hook. Make 13 dc in the same chain = 13 sts. R 2. Ch 1, dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch, (dc, 2 dc) ()repeat. the last stitch in the previous round slip stitch space = 26 sts. R 3. Ch 1, dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch, (dc, 2 dc) ()repeat. = 39 sts. R 4. Ch 1, 2 dc in the same stitch, (dc 2, 2 dc) ()repeat. = 52 sts. R 5. Thank you! Sorry, but no! I just write down notes with pen for myself . Very short. way 5 lines only. How to make hat crown I know without pattern and the next part just repeat 5 rounds. For example hat crown Start with 12dc 1. 1dc, 2 in next, increase each round until 5 rounds done. Then Fp dc and BPdc rounds 2 and 3 rounds Bpdc rounds. Each round turn. It is not good for other people :)

On the second set of fpdc bpdc do we do 2 rows cause u said 5 so would we count the 3 DC fpdc or would we do 5 of those

5 rounds altogether, 2 rounds FPdc and BPdc ( 2 rounds on the right side) and ( 3 rounds on the wrong side FPdc and dc) = 5 rounds. I just try to make videos shorter, because nobody wants to watch 1 hour, but good you asked questions if not clear. I showed the most important places slowly. How to start the next round and how to finish the round. How many stitches need to repeat etc. I do not show anymore how I do for example dc, I mean to save people time.

This is a pretty hat but after row 7 when you start the back looping, your moving too fast. It is really hard to follow. I could not finish. I had to find another pattern. Can you please slow down

No, You have to make Chain 3 and skip 2 chains in the 3rd chain (or 1st chain you made it in beginning) Make 12 dc. The next rounds will be Chain 1 to make straight seam, and we do not count as stitch.

Your directions are very confusing, on Rnd. 13 you say repeat for total of 5 Rnds. But then I get lost. Do you mean do 2 Rnds. Using 4.5 Hook then 2 Rnds using 4.0 Hook then 1 Rnd using 3.5 Hook? I did 5 rounds 2 rounds on the right side and 3 rounds on the wrong side after the hat crown. After I said to repeat the same these 5 rounds. 2 rounds on the right side, and 3 rounds on the wrong side. = 5 rounds. After these 5 rounds. On the right side - 5.00m crochet hook 1 round, 2nd round on the right side 4.00mm crochet hook, and 3rd round (3.50mm crochet hook. FPsingle crochet and BP single crochet.) You were confused because I said to repeat 5 rounds and I still showed how to do it for beginners. You can use only 5.00mm crochet hook for all the hat if you like, I just like it if a hat is tighter around the face it's all. P.S. I show in the beginning 5.00mm , 4.00m, and 3.50mm crochet hooks. I never used 4.50mm crochet hook. You can change video speed on settings- playback speed to slow and see better what I doing maybe this helps. Hope it is clear to you now.
