With the tough experience I had with the curl la la, I'm a little hesitant to use anything else from this line, but I do still have 2 deep conditioners in my stash and a leave-in (that doesn't work with gel either) - gotta use 'em up!

Definitely my go to gel. I didn't like how flat my hair looked initially when air drying nor do I like the initial dry crunch but after a couple days it poofs and gives the desired look. However!!! I recently got a blow dryer with diffuser so I'll be trying it out. Thanks forthe vid!!!

BlackBarbie228 I usually dry my hair always on high speed warm heat. BUT! My warm heat feels HOT on my hands and my cool feels warm. So, I use cool but it's not "cool". I hope that made sense. As far as heat damage it's not hot enough nor direct heat to cause ME any damage. But to be safe you can use a heat protectant, I don't. :)

Words of caution: If you use a leave in, cream, or any product before applying this gel, MAKE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS OF ANY PRODUCTTHOROUGHLY BEFORE APPLYING THE GEL! I used a leave in (Paul Mitchell The Conditioner) before using this gel, and I still had a little on my hands. The next time I used my Aunt Jackie's gel, it had a bad smell - so bad that I had to throw the whole jar away :-( Other than that, it's a good product.
