Bloody Mary was a nickname given to Mary 1st of England, thanks to her persecution of Protestant heretics, who she burned at the stake, I remember a poem about her “Mary Mary quite contrary” I’m pretty sure, a quote from the poem was “pretty maids all in a row” which was a reference to her many miscarriages so the public were very harsh and made fun of her. I’m not sure if that has anything to do w the urban legends but I think it’s interesting
@phoebe15554 жыл бұрын
she was also the daughter of king henry the 8th and hated protestants because her father started the protestant religion to divorce her mother i think

I’m from Wisconsin, and remember this well. I think the girls were all around 12. I think they planned it to happen at a sleepover, but became nervous. They then decided to do it at a park bathroom or pavilion. The two that did it had backpacks with food and pictures of their families. They were planning to walk to Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (a 6 and a half hour drive from where they were). They thought that he had a mansion in the middle of the forest, and would live with him. The poor girl was stabbed many times. I think a cyclist found her near the bike trail.

Whenever the full podcast releases it's feels like i'm just re-watching all the same clips i've seen over the last week but in sequence, it makes me want to switch off, When it's done the other way round and clips get posted after, it's like re-watching your favorite bits from the long watch and it's re-living it, it has a different vibe to re-watch

Bloody Mary terrified me in primary school, the story at my school was something about a wedding (I can't remember whether she died on her wedding day or whether it was a forced marriage that she ran away from but it was something along those lines), our school was supposedly built on the grounds of the remains of the church so there was extra weight to saying it in the bathroom mirrors there

Scratch marks inside a coffin was common. My grave digger neighbour had to move old graves for new ones and he's witnessed it, along with his grave diggers work mates seeing it too, along with other horror stories he's shared.
@neveholmes10334 жыл бұрын
Some graveyards had bells attached to coffins because people were buried alive so frequently, I'd say that part is pretty convincing
@kaialexander68064 жыл бұрын
A similar thing to the coffin thing Jack mentioned happens in Les Mis. At one point, Cosette and Valjean are on the run from Javert and they seek refuge in a convent. Cosette gets in easily because she's like I'll attend and Valjean gets in because the gardener of the convent is a man he'd saved from a runaway cart by lifting it (which is why Javert recognised him by how strong he is because canonically, Valjean can lift like literally anything) and the gardener sneaks Valjean in inside of a coffin. It might be how they get out now that I think about it, but I don't remember the details because a lot happens in that book because it's 2000 pages long and at one point, the plot stops so Hugo can explain why Napoleon lost Waterloo which takes 19 chapters. The book opens with the backstory of a priest who subsequently appears in one (1) scene. Marius hits his head against a tree for four hours when Cosette says she's leaving for England. Hugo also pauses the plot to explain the construction of the Parisian Sewer System and his opinions on religious cloisters.

4 years ago, I was in year 6 and I went on PGL. Loads of boys did 'baby blue blue baby', I joined in because I am pure gangsta along with my mate Connor and I felt the weight of the blue baby in my arms. I forgot to flush it down the toilet and ran out of the room. The very next day Connor fell off his bunk bed and fucked up his ankle really badly. Then later that day we were all playing football on the pitch and the ball rolled away down a hill. Me and this kid called Alfie raced for the ball, I forgot to look where I was going and didn't notice the massive fuck off tree standing in my way. I ran into it. The injuries i received were a sliced open eyelid, a cut throat, a fucked up and a fuck ton of bruises and swollen shit. I had to go to hospital and missed out on the best part of PGL, and the bit i had most looked forward in doing The Leap of Faith. That's why i don't mess with the paranormal shit and i wouldn't do it for a grand. My final opinion of the PGL experience was that it great fun and a jolly good time, out of 10 I give it a 7.

I’d just like to point out, that yes we have all heard of the urban legend of Bloody Mary but the legend that surrounds her comes from the fact that she was Mary 1 of England, daughter to Henry V111 and sister to Liz the 1. The bloody bit of her name referes to the amount of catholic’s she was responsible for burning at the stake during her time as queen.
@jacobperrin88703 жыл бұрын
