Super interesting! I’m west coast and can’t fathom staying in a shelter. I backpacked a teeny bit on the at in 2023 and passed a shelter, but it was in the middle of the day.

As much as I've hiked this section of the AT/LT, I had no idea about the Glastenbury stories. Guess I'll have something new to think about on my next hike through. Thanks for sharing these, and so many social moments from the hike too!

I remember hiking that mountain during a thunderstorm. The ghost stories motivated me to push on through. I didn't fancy the idea of spending a night alone on the mountain. Thanks for the video. It brought back fond memories.

Triple One is also in Jaru Walks’ vlogs. It’s good to see him again! Edit: Yes, he mentions him-Nightshift. He’s doing a calendar year triple crown so I’ve been following him too. I think he said that Triple One finished October 10th.

Glastonbury mtn? I stayed up there in my trnt on a southbound. Crazy dreams that night of people attacking the tent. The next morning on the way down heading South just below the top i found a black arrowhead coming out of the trail where it had eroded. Within a few days I got Lymes disease, for what that’s worth. There are a lot of creepy vibey places in the South from PA on town but especially TN/NC but this was the weirdest interdimensionally supernatural weird vibe of the whole hike.

@@QuadzillaHikes We tried to stay in the shelter just down the hill, but it was full-up, so we went back up the hill and several of us had tents spread out there in the woods. I found one more arrowhead on the AT further south. I eventually gave those and others I had to a Cherokee fellow who ritually reburied them. I used to get headaches handling them. I wish I was back out there. I still dream of the leaves and being on and off the trail. It's the adventure of a lifetime. Have fun!

I’m not sure how the group met up to do the trail together, but know this will be extra unforgettable for the young ones 😊. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve slept in that shelter (alone) and solo camped at that summit. Never had any issues or weird vibes
