What a wonderful technique video! I knit continental and I was sure there was an easier way to knit two-color Brioche. You're an excellent teacher and your demonstration was very clear. Thanks so much!

Omg I have to try that first method. It's so much easier to understand than the other methods i've seen so far ❤

I’m excited to try first method, being a beginner with 2 color brioche rib. Having just become comfortable with brioche patterns using 2 stitch increases and decreases, your videos give me the confidence to knit along with you, using this new technique for plain 2 color brioche knit. Thank you so much! I’ve been knitting for over 50 years, and this is a new challenge. I’m so excited!

This is very very helpful! thank you so much! For the question at 16:00 (kind of): when knitting in the round, I've found that method 3 also works on top of itself, which makes it possible to also do increases/decreases sort of in a single pass: For an increase: 1. before the increase, advance the contrast color with a: Brioche pearl, slip-one-yarn-over, brioche pearl 2. Slip the stitches back on the needle, until the main color thread; (slip the pearl, stitch-with-yarn-over, pearl stitches) 3. normal brioche knit with increase; thread to the front-slip-one-yarn-over, briocheknit-yarnover-briocheknit, thread to the front-slip-one-yarn-over For a decrease, do the same, but then advance the contrast color more. I think this could also work with method 2, which then reduces it to a method 1 really, except for the places where you actually do increases/decreases. whether this is beneficial depends on how many increases/decreases you have to do, because they determine how often you need to pass stiches to the other needle (2) Also very interesting that after method 1, I think you could advance either thread?

Can you please, tell us the brand & color number of the purple yarn that’s in the photo at the beginning of the video? I LOVE purple yarn! But I’m super picky because it’s my favorite color!

I noticed that in the pearl, you sometimes put your finger down to pearl and sometimes grab the yarn directly with the needle. Does that make a difference?
