nice info - thx @heads! feel like happymodel continues to round out the lineup to cover the spectrum of indoor (mob6, mob7) to outdoor (mob7, mob8) whoop action. love the hdzero as have both the mob6 and 7. wish Fractal would release an 85 :) he now has the ducts

Pre ordered this one. Might be in on time for my holiday. Knowing my luck I get it the day I leave so setting up on the phone shenanigans lol. Loving HDzero so far on my racer, this will be my 2nd HDzero quad. Gonna be my warm up for racing quad and for the holidays. Great vid!

Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Such smooth transitions and you have various paths you take so your flights keep my attention. That was some decent range you got too. Do you feel that the extra weight for digital had any positive or negatives to it's capability to freestyle compared to the analog version?

On 2s with larger props, hard to tell the difference with HDZ. 1s it's a little more obvious. I think 85mm with Hdz is pretty good for me

Hi infinite from Montreal, Quebec, Canada !! I'm looking for an hdzero big whoop that would be able to handle the wind (not gust of wind). With propguards. Which one do you suggest ?? The fractal 75 seems too be not enough powerfull

How much wind are we talking about? I get around 8-10mph consistent wind and love flying my fractal75 in that with little issue. There is the option of the HDZ Mobula8. That has a lot more power and weight to handle the wind a bit better.

46.5g is pretty reasonable for an HD 85mm whoop, although I'd be curious to know if that frame can hold up at that weight.

Hey Infinity I'm thinking about buying the happymodel mob8 and my question is: Is the frame well made meaning can it stand up to crashes? I bought a Betafpv Meteor85 and I had a minor crash but I found 3 cracks in the skinny frame so I want to avoid this. Thanks for the great video review.

Great question. Short answer is No. These frames tend to get breaks often where the spokes attach to the duct. It is easily repaired, I prefer to melt back together carefully with a soldering iron and then put a thin layer of E6000 glue over it. Typically I have seen pilots buy this BnF and a 2" carbon frame of their choice. Fly the stock frame until the ducts get too messed up, then swap to the carbon. Makes for a great little toothpick.

I'd stick with 450-500mah 2s packs for freestyle. Yea it is a hardy build so far, lots of smashing!

Do you think i could fit a caddx vista polar micro on this? I want this mobula bad! 😂 you knpw how much pf a mobula fan i am from all our talks but now that i have the dji v2 gear, they made this for the dji 03 and walksnail! Doooh! 😂😂 the dimensions of the vista are slightly smaller so it will fit as long as theres a way to lock it down. Whats your thoughts

Thank you! Really depends on the build for me. Sometimes when I need to save weight on a 1s build I'll go with the Diamond. If I am doing 1-2s builds and just want a rock solid FC I'll go with the x12.

3-3:30 minutes while getting on it pretty hard. I'm sure cruising speeds would give you 3:30-4 minutes

I snipped the bottom bars of the battery tray off and used a small rubber band in it's place. Makes the bottom of the battery tray flexible. Holds all kinds of batteries now

Man I have a 34g 85mm hdzero with 1002 motors that's using the same style ducted motor frame, just the lighter/older one. They made this too heavy IMO. The frame is 3+ grams heavier alone. I would replace the 1103s and gemfan has some new 2" biblades that are gonna be 1 gram lighter then the old gemfan 2" biblades (1 gram less when comparing 4 old vs 4 new blades). I'd be at or under 33g with those.
