But, I already have a heavy duty ARCAN hoist. Instructions/Manuals are free to download from the HFT website, for most tools and products. I do have the 1,500 lb. load leveler, which is a real help. Besides engine lifting, I use it to move my milling machine around the shop...

The Instructions about the bolts are HORRIBLE in the manual. There are not that many and they just label them! This is the only video where the bolts were explained and it helped a ton. It's all together. Have not tried it. Going to use as a bush and stump puller. THANK YOU!!

I just bought a 1 ton HF Folding Engine hoist and assembled it... no problems, except the Damned thing's Boom is so short it won't reach far enough into my engine compartment to lift the engine straight up. Didn't expect that and it's fully extended. I wonder if the 2 ton is longer ?

Just got mine home and all hardware including pins missing. Another 20 plus mile each way trip. This is the 3rd back and forth we've had to do because of damaged tool chests and now the engine crane missing hardware. Weird because our store is across the interstate from the giant Dillon SC distribution center.

My second locking pin hole doesn't line up🤷🏽‍♂️

You need to lift the middle wheels slightly off the ground to line up those holes.

Very helpful video! About the upper ram bolt... I put the bolt in, but the top part of the ram/cylinder has an awful lot of play side to side even when the bolt is fully tightened. Did you experience this as well? Is that normal? I’ve never used one of these before.

The r pins should cover the pins, the w shape should be around the pin, at least that's how it makes sense to me, so the spring doesn't let it fall out.

Thanks for the vid. Why are two of the six wheels smaller, instead of all being the same size?

The small wheels in the middle only touch the ground when the unit is folded up in storage mode. When the legs are folded down the larger 4 wheels are in use. I guess they figure it doesn't need 6 wheels touching the ground at the same time, would probably make it harder to roll when it's loaded or something.

Im having an issue with the support beams they are not matching up they are short by 1/4" did you have any ussue installing them

No. I didn't have any issues like that. Everything went together once I had the main support facing the right way.

I’m super late, but I had the same issue. I unbolted the post, slid the support beams in place and then bolted the post back up and everything fit into place once tightening it up. Just in case anyone watching this runs into the same problem!

I experienced this also. I resolved the issue by loosening up the bolts that hold the main vertical tube so it was able to lean back, this brought the support bars down lower. Fully tightened up the support bar bolts and then tightened up the main vertical tube bolts afterwards.

Super anoyying wasted so much time support bars we’re a good inch off wasted a good hour driving to get more that we’re also off. work 6 days a week and paid $260 for this what’s the point of doing something if your just ganna half ass it this place needs to get there business straight …
