It Held up ok but eventually more foam fell out. Now I use this case insert I found on Amazon. amzn.to/3TuwUrE

Thanks so much for this review. I was looking for a case for my microphone and other accessories since I do a lot of voice over work and have to travel. I was originally looking at the Pelican case but someone told me about this one so I looked for someone who has actually used this and I think this will be perfect for me. 👍

Fyi, spraying the foam down with plasti dip will keep the foam blocks together and make the surface more durable and professional looking. Really saturate the surface and spray it on heavy.

Would this survive a fall in a lake or river? I have a Pelican I use for my drone but would like one for my camera,the Pelican has survived a couple falls in the water when my kayak flips

@@michaelclld The Apache cases are IP65 rated, but it has a manual valve instead of the auto sealing one on the Pelican cases. Just open close the valve before getting near water and you should be good.

I bought this and the thing i hate most about it is that the latches don't stay up in place when you flip them up which makes it cumbersome close because the latches will prevent it from closing when its in the down position. I noticed that the latches do stay up for the 3800 and the 5800, so this is puzzling to me.
