It actually works by sensing temperature. It won't go off if the air temperature is too close to body temperature and it probably won't see through glass. It has a narrow sensing field to reduce false alarms.

No, they won't work through glass. The only thing that will activate & record through glass is a dashboard camera. This drive way alarm & trail cameras pick up body heat ( from animals and humans ) & movement ( cars & tree limbs blowing ).

I set this up and hid the sensor in my driveway and caught two prowlers checking for unlocked doors. I pressed my car panic alarm and saw him run away from the loud horn and flashing lights lol

Have you tried this pointing at the side window and will it pick someone outside the car.

No they have to get in the car.

I want this to stop them before they get in my car. Otherwise if they break the window to get into your car then you have the hassle of getting it fixed and then if there’s any cost to replacing the window.

Set it up on your Brick wall facing the car.

Better yet, further up the driveway so you know sooner when someone enters the yard. I had 3 of them on my property. Just be sure you look on the back and make sure they are on the same channel.

Get a couple, put one the driver and passenger side of the seat, on the bottom facing outward towards the door.
