Weathertech matts stain so easy. I hit mine once with a 5000psi pressure washer and they still looked stained at the end but that's just how they dry

Dress the matts with Gummifix. They'll look like new and won't be slippery at all.

There are easy to clean and don’t need a steam cleaner but mine does a great job, you need to use a good cleaner and scrub then clean wash or steam off. After apply a protectant to keep it from staining in future. And good god are you a bull in a china shop.

I bought the Harbor Freight steam cleaner a year ago to clean tile grout in a house I bought. It really was easy to use, works well and is still working as well now as the day I bought it. The key is to only use distilled water.

I have a much larger McCalluch mc1385 i use for detailing my cars it's a beast takes a while to fulling heat up but worth the wait. Run a cup a distilled white vinegar every 10 tanks and try and use distilled water as well stuff will come out cleaner and prevents the mineral build-up

Thanks for the review Rich!! Was looking at getting one of these for small engine cleaning on atv's and dirtbikes before I work on them and after. I have the chicago electric little ultrasonic cleaner and have used it tons over the last year, kids even use it. Going to upgrade to the bigger unit they now carry so I can clean bigger carbs and parts That steamer seems to put out a ton of steam, I would probably end up using that little jet wand one you used on the mats the most for what I do. Have a great 4th with family and friends and thank you for all the great content you put out!!!!

Had mine for a while. Back in the dirt bike racing days the shop had a beast of a steam cleaner with a burner that ran on diesel fuel. Lots of steam and more pressure than you'd think. It didn't play around, no brush needed. I miss that thing....

I recommend using distilled water Rich. The steam cleaner works great on floor mats

Yes we used to use them for defrosting fridge evaporators when the defrost system failed, made quick work of those iceburgs for sure - the machine will live much longer if you only feed it distilled water

Good Morning Rich , this tool has a plethora of uses . With a little bit of simple green it will definitely help with getting those stains out. Compact unit ,not like a diesel powered full blown machine. If the price was good then its a no brainer . I would have liked it more if it had a metal tip and extensions . But at a good price it definitely has potential . Have a great 4th to you and everyone . Stay safe ,and don't burn your hands on those fireworks . Those mats are just like the rubber bed mat in my avalanche. Snatch it out and clean it up, but there's always stains left. No biggie since it's used as a truck anyway lol. That old gmc is looking brand hammer new rich

Nice but too time consuming for detailing mats. May work well though for door jams. I use super clean with a brush on the mats.

I know everybody's going to keep referencing the pressure washer but every single one of you that reference the pressure washer know exactly what I'm talking about when I say you know damn well it wouldn't have been that easy to pull it out because nobody likes putting it away nobody likes rolling up the hose nobody likes rolling up the cord and for something like this it's not worth even pulling it out

Rich, can you make a video cleaning the headliner using the steam cleaner on a f 150 from where the cargo light / third brake light area leaks inside and stains the headliner?

Mine doesn't do that so I don't know that it's going to do any good with me doing a video and not having anything to show for it

You wouldn't want to use that on a headliner anyway it would melt the foam and breakdown the glue. You will have a very clean but sagging headliner. Use a Tornador air tool and wipe\blot dry with a chamois.

Thank you for the video. Harbor freight sometimes has good stuff for not a lot of money. This tool seems ok, however, and maybe I am washing my mats wrong, but I usually take my car floor mats out a few times a year (they are rubber) and use either my hose at home or the power washer self service bay at the car wash. I would be interested though to see if this steam cleaner would work well on stains on seats and furniture both in a vehicle and at home.

I mean there's like a thousand different ways to wash your floor mats just because you do them that way doesn't mean they're wrong and I do them a different way doesn't mean they're wrong this is just the way I chose to review a product whenever you got sticky crap spilled all over the rubber floor mats and stickers and gum this takes it right off where other stuff doesn't I don't understand how you would have ever come to the conclusion or even thought that maybe you're doing something wrong based on this video

Yup, nothing is made in America anymore ... but &#%#%@&! ....I ordered one from Harborfrieght just now ... not bad price plus shipping to Hawaii ... will also try it on my oil stain in my parking stall...tried everything else but hopefully the steam will raise the oil up so I can get to it 0:35 ...😂😂😂 Love your video!
