Great video, but this is not AC. This is a straight DC machine. That doesn't prevent it from doing Aluminum. You can electrically weld aluminum in DC several ways. 1. Using special flux covered DC Aluminum Arc rods. 2. DC Mig 100% Argon Spray Transfer using 4043 or 5356 wire. 3. DC Tig with 100% Helium. (there are other ways but those are called cheats and not generally talked about). This is still a very very good DIY home welder. P.S. if it was AC you would have the ability in the control panel to change the frequency and balance (generally).

I bought Azzuno 130amp (smaller older version to this one) for 80 bucks! First welder ever. I don't know much but it welded up my mini bike frame beautifully! Strong deep set welds! Decent lil welder for the cost.

Just a FYI for anyone looking to TIG aluminum- a water cooled torch is almost a must for anything more than 1/8” or buy a #26( I think ) tig torch- which is a large torch. Either way Tiging aluminum uses a serious amount of heat.

Also FYI, I got a Titanium 170 a couple of years ago. I’ve made several large projects in steel with MIG, I’m on 125 bottle four of gas. It’s quite capable. I got a spool gun for aluminum, but haven’t tried it. I’d probably change brands for TIG, if I get to that.

When I purchased this model I assumed being named 250 Aluminum - that it was able to weld both DC and AC Tig I have reached out waiting on response but am pretty sure it's DC only my mistake. That being said still a great welder with quality that surpasses most in its price range.

Azzuno's duty cycle is much better. and I just gor one few days ago, it even better than Arccaptain . the output current specs are true to specifications. I had a meter on it and has many features that other sub 800 -1000 welders do not like arc force and other MMA adjustable parameters.

what are the duty cycle ratings on this machine ??!! the duty cycle is the make or break decision when buying one of these suitcase welders and separates the big dogs from the junk !!!!!!

FYI. This is NOT an AC machine. Right on the Amazon page it states it cannot tig weld aluminum. They call it an aluminum welder because they give you a Teflon liner to put in your torch instead of using a spool gun when mig welding. Also, I don’t see any provision for a foot pedal. This whole video a fake shill for the company?????

I have the Guozhi 200P $300 multi process welder off Amazon its a good diy ,hobby welder simlar to the Azzuno🧑‍🏭

One reason to buy from Harbor Freight is that almost any Amazon sold Chinese welder company may disappear in a year or change models every few months which may leave you dead in the water if it breaks.

half true , i buy alot of tools from HF but they do discontinue tools aswell , and i asked the cashier to answer that and they didnt have much of an answer , and i agree its a hassle at the Amazon for gurantee , theres ads that claim to be with the cost but arent seem scammy and they got like 3 types of insurances 😂 and then u have to file a claim vs hf u just walk in there and walk out , but yet again its worth the risk since its cheap jst make sure u have a locker to avoid co.workers from damaging it , yeah they will pour water on machines and welding mask , ppl really do bad things ,

@ HF will replace with the new model if the old is unavailable if you buy their extended warranty. Well worth it on equipment IMO.
