I'm with you! Everyone is saying the same thing but it STILL doesn't show up!!! Buy a USB adapter for 8$ on eBay. You have to use it as an extHD... That's what I did...

Full screen disk management and look for the storage size of your external drive. Apparently, my Hard drive was named "Disk 0 (or 1) Partition" and I followed the steps in the video from there.

Cant name drive solution: Right click the box of your new hard drive at the bottom half of the window. Click "New simple volume" it will open a wizard and you can name the drive then.

you'll have to wipe it right click on the drive and delete volume and then right click on it again and create a simple volume it will fix it and let you chose a letter to assign to it

The video that keeps on giving. Mine wasn't a USB, but I have a 2TB that came from a work computer we threw out. I figured it would work, but I had to initialize and then create a partition and format. Now I have my dedicated 3d modeling HDD!
