Hard Enduro hybrid rear tire setup | Extreme Gummy

Here's a quick video on my most requested question. What is your rear tire setup !? I've seen a couple videos on KZbin but I'll give you a closer look at how to prepare your bib for a hybrid setup. Everyone does this differently and there's really no right way. This is just how I do it and I hope you find this helpful !

Shredding the Mousse into oblivion with the Dremel, hoodie blackened, not even using a respirator or safety glasses. hahah, My man, tremendous hahahah. This was a cool tutorial! I have Lucioli's on front and rear and love that i can run them at 0 PSI, or even air up to ride connecting roads. this idea of yours makes good sense too!

I've been using this setup for a year now with the dunlop D803 trials tire. I use the NMS-305 and just cut a "V" out of the inside diameter to make room for the Tubliss. Typically you can run the D803 with just the NMS325, but good luck seating the bead. the Tubliss seats the bead and allows me to run a little bit of air. ( I like the feel of air vs bib alone) and if I get a flat and lose the air the bib keeps me rolling just fine till I can plug it.

How does this tire compare to the AT81EX? I'm a die hard trials tire guy but I'm always looking for something better. the AT81EX is okay in my terrain but a bit too stiff for my liking. I've always liked the IX09W with bib/tubliss setup but they wear quick...Dunlop Trials tires last forever even when they look shot. Ever try that new TACS bib meant for Tubliss?

I’ve been using a Tacs pro mousse. It’s a dedicated half mouse made for tubliss. Works prime! I run about 1-2 psi. Traction for days and the side wall stays nice. No rolling. No cutting, drilling, and easy to mount and dismount the tire.

Saw the TACS advertised, looks like it leaves dead air space between the mousse and tire. Wonder how that feels riding compared to a full but soft mousse?

@@PrimalEnduro is no dead space there, till you have a puncture or something. But even with 0 air inside there’s now wobble at all.

Saw someone else doing this, at least a couple hundred $ extra per tire. Cool idea but not for me. Need to design a mouse with a MTB tire size tube inside it.

This has to be an April Fools joke right? That rear tire setup has to be almost $400-$500! why not just run the moose and remove the tubliss?

You can absolutely run just a moose. This is just a setup a lot of hard enduro racers prefer. It's definitely not for everyone ! You can't get the same super low pressure feel off bib alone. This allows you to run it nearly flat and still protect the rim.

Nice set up! Have you tried a lucioli 7mm tube with double rim locks? You can run them 2-3psi no problem without the risk of puncture and even if it did you can ride it out with 0 psi as it has the 2 rim locks to hold it in place and is more economical than running tubless + mousse but i do like the look of that set up you have 🤘🏼

@Bikesntoys I have not. Heard good things about it! I guess the point of this setup is even if the tubliss fails, you have some cushion. So many options for rear tire !
