I’m finished watching the series of efiling! Thank you so much. Also, huge thanks for not filing and putting music over it. I feel it’s quite important to hear real time e-filing sounds to be able to hear pressure honestly. I can tell your amount of force just by hearing the e-file running on the surface. Thank you!

I didn't learn anything but natural nails in cosmetology school. I wasn't too concerned because I had zero intention of ever doing nails. Then covid hit, and I had to teach myself how to do sculpted gel. I've been doing my own nails for over 4 years, and I have gone as long as 8 weeks between fills (I was working from home and VERY busy!) with no lifting. I'll never go back to getting my nails done by someone else. Your videos are great for the little tips and tricks I didn't figure out along the way!

Thank you! I work exclusively in hard gel so this was super helpful. It was nice to watch a nail video again, I’ve been boycotting them since March. I’m in California and between the close, open, close from the State and the stricter restrictions our County Health Officer has placed, I’ve only been able to be open for a total of 2 1/2 months since March and watching videos just makes me sad. Had to watch this one though! Thanks again ❤️

I’ve had clients get mad at me when I can’t get them in the exact date and time they want so they go somewhere else. I’ll get a call “What did you use on me?? They said it was illegal to use acrylic that can’t soak off!!” Ok, 1 - it’s not acrylic and you know that because I talk about it every time. 2 - all acrylic soaks off, even the MMA acrylic which is illegal and most likely what they use there. I would have told them exactly what to tell the other nail tech if they had asked, no hard feelings.

So, a back-and-forth motion using the e-file, i.e., "feathering"/"flicking", is alright? How do you keep it from going "around the world" (as Tracey calls it in the "beginner mistakes" video)? I assume that it depends on the speed setting you're using on your e-file? Bear with me- still learning the basics! Love your videos! I'm subscribed, and get notified of them all! Thank you guys! 😄

Nearly 2 weeks now since I’ve removed my nails, my nails still hurt so bad, she removed way too much of my natural nails. Still far better than day 1, as I couldn’t bare the pain but definitely put me off of getting my nails done again! The nail technician wasn’t skillful at all and charged an absolute fortune for it.
@youngnailsinc5 ай бұрын
We are sorry to hear that! Hope your nails are doing okay. I like a good nail strengthener.. apply a coat every day to every other day for about 7 days. Remove and repeat. Then when they are a little better you should try Fiber gel. The Fiber Gel does work really well on brittle/thin nails! We would recommend doing 2-3 thin coats as a base before your gel polish color to build a little structure. If you are just using it for a base coat under your gel polish, you can use any of the Fiber Gel colors, but the original is a nice clean, slightly translucent color that won't interfere with the color you put on top. If you are wanting to use the Fiber Gel for a nude/opaque color instead of gel polish, the Cover Nude or Soft White are pretty options. They will all have the same benefit to the nail, it's just what color you prefer.

you should turn upp the speed to about 20000 rpm and remove the gel from there, you should not push to remove the material because that is going to end up in heat frictions, Just turn up the speed and let the bit do the work for you. Also flicking the bit CAN cause heat spikes on the nail!

High speeds also cause heat spikes, sooooo you can compensate either for speed or for pressure, but either way has the potential to create heat.

You would continue to file off the rest. You can switch to our cross cut or sanding band once it gets thin enough if you are scared about using the safety bit so close to the real nail. Unfortunately, hard gel does not soak off.

I don’t understand why people get hard gel removal instead of a fill, file down and putting new color???
@anniefeng37952 жыл бұрын
Or why people don’t get an overlay and painted gel on top? I think that’d be the best maintenance and easiest for everyone? For artwork, the least amount to acetone soak/file off.
