Can someone help me resolve my issue? I have a HHV Gen 2 + their pop in adapter and Walker Razors. I upgraded the pads which are supposed to have a better seal over ears in addition to added comfort. My problem is that they do not seal completely over my ears and do not provide ample hearing protection, especially at the lower ends. I push them in as far as I can and have no idea how to make them fit over my ears any better. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The looseness of the nvg mount is caused by a ~.020" gap between the top lip of the mount, and where it interfaces with the shroud. I have a Norotos mount that does the same thing. You can fix it by putting one layer of electrical tape over the top lip of the mount and putting it back on. No need for Velcro to assist in holding it steady, but if it works then fuck it.

I got lucky and mine only took about 8 weeks. Magnetic chin strap is baller. Makes life easier if you're taking it on and off a lot, which I am.

I got the same helmet a week or so ago. My Wilcox G24 mount mated up perfectly and it came with the magnet chin strap hook.

If you’re not running communications or trying to be Gucci and high speed, walkers headsets do just fine. If you do run comms, 3M Peltors (iii-IV) are the best choice. I heard mixed reviews on the AMP from Ops-Core.

My order was confirmed on Jan 15th, received it on 1 Feb. The multicam looks good. Chinstrap buckle was the plastic one, not the magnetic one. Quick update...emailed with HHV customer service, and they said the reason for the plastic buckle, not magnetic was to get the helmet out faster. I can't fault them for that. If/when the magnetics become available, I might get one sent to me.

Now if only my peltor vi would ship that fast… ordered them cause they were in stock and then for shipping it’s just showed order placed and said it for awhile and so I asked them what’s up and they told me they were out of stock and that they placed an order back in March and at best it will ship end of this month. Looks great. I got the Multi black for something different. Mine took forever to get to me. They said they had issues with the hydro dip company. Who knows. Mine has the magnetic strap closure. For the price all their helmets are great.

The color/Hydro dip is all personal preference brother. If you like, you like it 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve gotten used to it without the magnetic and I’m cool without it. The BFD currently is better than most ballistic helmets on the market. 💯🤙

Absolutely. A lot of people hate on Multi black but I have a standard Multicam cover I can run when situations call for it. I do like that my shroud and rails are black. I’m running the Inforce Gen2 light and it works great on the rail. I just wish Variarc Thyrm made an Mlok compatible mount. I bought the one HHV sells but it doesn’t rotate 360. Bummer.

However, I did get mine lightly used from an airforce cat (sec forces, go figure 🤢) who bought and was allowed to rock it at work, and was shortly thereafter issued something better. Yes/no. Yes, I made it “manageable” to the point were it’s kinda stable. No, because I replaced it with the Wilcox L24 shroud w/Lanyard attachments

Nothing you can really do, it’s about a 0.20” gap in the shrouds housing. They still have that issue since I just bought their bump helmet

Well, the Wilcox mount is not the problem. The shroud is, all I had to do was put a spacer on it. It works fine now.

I was told I get my helmet in 8-12 weeks. I waited 6 months for mine and it never came. I got a shipping notice after about 3 months - it never came. Then I got a request to review the helmet that never came. Then I was told several times that it would ship out in 2 weeks. I eventually just told them to refund my money. At that point I was told that it was shipping out next week. I had lost all faith in the company and had to ask for the refund twice. What a disappointment. After realizing that they are made or assembled (whatever) in China. I was much less disappointed. I'm gonna grab up a old fashioned Avon ACH, full cut

But they just had to tell me that the helmet didnt exist and they didnt know when it would. I just bought a Armor Source 505. 3lb full cut helmet for $300. I'm excited about that.
