Rebirth is just IT. Getting to chapter 12 and unlocking more side quests and more queens blood and such got me so pumped, after 80h or so, never once felt fatigued. First playthrough was roughly 130h and I went straight into hard mode. What a joy. I feel like part 3 will be even better.

Only let down was when you get a notification about the war between midgar and wutai, then theres practically no content in regards to it :/ hoping they go balls to the wall for part 3! Took me 188 hours to playinum rebirth, i want more in the next. Im greedy and dont care! GOTY 100%

@mcsteve0328 it wont be, the devs already said. Side quests will still be abundant, queens blood will probably stay.. but if you want "minigames" you can go to gold saucer. Theres way too much storytelling left for part 3 so they will mainly focus on that.

I dont think the minigames were so bad. Once you understood what to do it became pretty fun. Even 3D brawler which at first was a pain in the ass but then once you get used to it, its fun.

I just beat freaking Gi Natak over the weekend. Took me forever. I actually put it down for a few months cause I was getting frustrated. Picked it back up last week. Just beat Vincent, and Roche. Not sure how I’m going to conserve MP for that beast of a last chapter

Chapter 14 isn't that bad, actually. Although you may be referring to Chapter 13 (Temple of the Ancients) because that is indeed a slog and a half. Honestly I didn't find it that much harder than Chapter 17 of Remake, which was also rough. The trick is a little counter-intuitive; burn down bosses with offensive magic because it builds stagger very quickly and you can take them down without wasting too much MP on heals.

Ch12 is particularly tough on MP if you do all the hard mode side quests prior to the colloseum sequence. By the time I got to Rufus I only had 2 MP on Cloud. Ended up resorting to the MP/HP swap strat which was probably easier in the end then trying to beat him with a normal approach.

Somehow the Dyne scene didn't hit for me as hard in Rebirth; there was something much more ominous and tragic about the character telling Barret he'd take Marlene to see her dead mom, then at the end taking his own life.

1:02:48 you should be able to just grab a row of material and move it, that at the very least would make it more bearable. I think the devs intended to not be constantly changing who has what and just equip for each character and leave them equipped, and change out only when you get new materia. But that just isnt viable when you dont have multiples of a particular materia you want to use.

MP Management in some parts of the game was insane on Hard.

The only part that gave me MP issues was the Gallian Beast. I had 12 MP on Cait Sith and 5 on the other characters. It was then that I discovered the wonders of an auto-weapon ability materia linked with MP absorb. Tifa goes brrrrrr with omnistrikes!

I believe Max started a hard mode playthrough and only completed the first few chapters, then he restarted his hard mode playthrough for the ps5 Pro to actually complete it this time.
