I did my form empties today, I had to use ego a lot to win clashes so a good majority of my ids were going insane, had low SP, [I had commemorative coin btw keep this in mind, if a skill/ego attack has one coin only it repeats once per turn] As I defeated all the three allies my allies corroded more and killed some of my ids, until three remained. I was losing hope cause the statue still had 500 hp, then ryoshu open eyes ego corroded, she attacked first therefore she’d attack twice, I was worried cause maybe she was gonna finish off my other ids. First hit was around 200+, she only targeted the statue, then hit once again.. dealt around 300+, only targeting the statue again and finished off the statue. that was insane to watch, remember managers always wish the worst upon your workers.

Man, despite how in hard mode we basically can't normally win clashes at floor 4-5, we still can beat it. It's astounding Edit: based on some replies ive gotten, im gonna clarify I meant the ID specific attacks, you can win most clashes with egos. But only a select few ID attacks can regurally win clashes

I played against the fox... She was rolling at about 52/94 and not even Faust with her Fluid Sac could clash with it. Luckily, Hong Lu, Outis and Ryoushu were there to spam their EGOs

Well, When I got White Woman jumpscare at 5th floor, from which I had a nightmare, from which comes a lot of unhinged content and memes like: Nailed it. So for me, 2nd to easiest and 1 of the lowest health in the MD, I was shocked and somehow happy to beat her ass (I kinda overpowered and easily take the Hard MD)

When I got My Form Empties on the hard MD, I just ignored most of the statues attacks and focusfired the adds with EGO. I just let myself get hit by the statues karma attacks and when the adds stagger the boss just kills them for me when it starts targeting them. Got myself a 10 turn clear on him, it wasn't really that bad. Yes it still FEELS like a brickwall you're banging your head against.

@@gogodowser You really don't need to run "meta", running meta just means you can make a lot of mistakes and not be punished for it, but if you know what you are doing, there were people already who cleared it with only base IDs, or solo K Hongs

Also here's a tip, if a unit you don't want to lose ends up dying, you can give up on the fight and restart it from the beginning, can help keep some key sinners alive through the dungeon. Also some unit's evasion skills can be useful against this mfer. I had a few instances where chef ryoshu and grip faust were able to somehow evade skills that came towards them that were hopeless considering that I ran out of resources to use ego early on in the fight.

As a F2P that missed 95% of season 1 I'm not geared to clear floor 5 yet, but I'm geared to clear up until the floor 5 boss. I hadn't fought any of the bosses exclusive to railway yet so the game said "Oh hey so for your floor 4 boss you will be facing kqe-1j-23... all 3 times." and I wanted to distort on the SPOT when I saw it the third time. The Representation Emitter nerf (on top of the trillions of clash power enemies get, ofc) makes hard mode so much more difficult than it otherwise would be it's crazy who could have seen this coming. I fucking love K Corp so much Neutralize Target in the first room of the dungeon randomly beating your ass and then later No Trespassing rolling 27s with its FOUR COINS

A tip: don't just buy the exact amount of characters you need, get extras for support passives, they cost nothing if they're a 1 or 2 rarity. Also I feel your pain in getting My Form Empties as your first HM boss... of all the horrors, the final boss of refraction railway. I had the same thing happen.

I also got my form empties as the last boss of my first run of hard mode, and god i wasn't prepared. First off, i had very little ego ressources in the bank except for pride cause i got the throne ego gift, like best i got was 12 lust, i actually had 2 envy starting the fight. And my team was 4 3stars identity(g corp gregor, n sinclair, n faust, w don) the rest was 2 stars. And well my only clash winning coins,except for ego, was w don envy skill, i lost 3 hours and 7 restart on that fight. I finally won when i put a real fucking strat to get the win, my surprise carry was g corp outis, she pretty much saved the run. I used her protection skill to sacrifice the slowest unit in a unwinnable clash just to economise and build up ego ressources, and her gloom skill was actually a surprise giga win with the 22 power if it landed. After an actual fight with hardcore strat and sacrifice play i won, and let me tell u i was soo fucking happy, it brought me back to my first win vs the red mist and xiao fight in library. Really project moon make the best cbt games, 10 outa 10, i'll stay on normal diff from now on 😅

Oh my god, I also got My Form Empties on my first hard mode MD run, but I got insanely lucky with my ego gifts and got both Blue Zippo Lighter AND Grand Welcome and ego spammed my way to victory. ...Then I did my second hard mode MD run, didn't get any ego gifts to help with ego spam and immediately felt the pain.

I've done two attempts so far. On my first attempt I had exactly what happened to your Sinclair happen to me at about the same time- but then I got outnumbered in the next fight and lost more people to one sided attacks. The second run my first floor boss was Guido- which doesn't sound like a problem, but he had a squad of 5 guys and turns out he has a passive to give his whole team 10 sanity per turn so they started outrolling me pretty quickly. Didn't have much EGO ready either. So yeah haven't gotten past floor 1 yet, but I'll give it another go

Oh they changed the encounter in which you get the funny ego gift that unstaggers enemies so that the bottom choice makes you fight a battle, but you dont get the gift (you get cost instead iirc)

Ishmael’s Ardor Blossom Star was my saviour for this dungeon. If it rolls heads it rolls 41 which can outclash anything here, you just need to keep sanity high because if it rolls tails it’s only rolling like 18.

MD2H requires Faust (blood sac), Meursault (chain of others and persuance), Ishmael (ardor blossom star) and maybe more tank. You can go Nuclair too if you don't mind managing his sanity or only bring him in the last battle.

The new zwei gregor is pretty good as a tank for this. His first skill rewards him for losing clashes and he has a guard that draws aggro and gives high shield.

Great video but i would like to point out you are likely being brites by the kurokumo Hong lu as its clashes are terrible. Personally i reccomend 7 ryusho as skill 2 and 3 have phenomenal clashes that Can work in floor 4 and 5. Else good video and yeah its ego reliant but i really like the ressource management of This hard mode

Guess pray for centipede as your last boss, statue just stalls you forever and no one enjoys it. Then in clashes It really comes down to pure luck, one clash can straight kill you. In Ruina you have power to roll higher, in Limbus it's ego spam. Honestly i have no idea how you can make game harder but not luck dependent and i don't know about ego spam your way to victory too. It feels like we are missing ways to control our enemies (guess more actually good defensive buffs too), yes there is paralyze but not enough presence of it, even less for debuffs that can significantly nerf your opponents dmg output . And to apply debuff you need to win coin toss but before that you must win clash in general.

Just use tanks ids for unoposed atacks bruh, its really simple, also not even ego spam can save you, you run out of sp and die, next update PM will add agro skills, so tanks will be even more viable.

I do agree that casually giving everything +9 power and calling it the day a very shallow move from PM. I think I'm gonna send them a looooong e-mail listing my own and community issues regarding this tomfuckery. However hard mode did something good for me actually. It made me strategise blocking and actually look who can take which hit, which led me to a conclusion: tank IDs like K corp Hong Lu need more speed than DPS' IDs, because you somehow need to overtake the fucking damage, and damage dealers would rather hit an unopposed than clash for guaranteed pain. So yeah, I hope to see at least one thing change from like 30 fucked up things imma ask them about. From the state of poise and Shi IDs, through charge ticking down every turn for no reason, up to the fact that no debuff is decent enough to legitimately use outside of just fucking around for the sake of it.

And that last boss was karma for saying at the start "this will be easy"😆(And insulting our little Justice gremlin couf couf) For the people crying that this is hard: 1- Git gud. 2- Its a PM game, i am here for this and its really fun because it puts you into your limit. 3 -At Uptie 4 this gets easyer so u have that. I got 3 times My form Empties and 1 the Bull and funny i think the bull is the "hard" one 😅 Tips for the battle, One shot Aida first turn even if all units need to use their skills into her, then just survive, for some teams you can also one shot Guido next, because its super fragile vs Wrath and there are some heavy hitting wrath skills but i wouldnt recommend that. One thing i can say, without Fluid sack EGO, this mode gets.... 😵‍💫

My only complaint with hard mirror so far has been the sheer strength of the enemy skills. If I lose a clash, 9 out of 10 times the losing sinner is either dead or staggered, leading to an action disadvantage that can snowball into a wipe. With the massive buff to offensive stats, those run killing clashes become way too difficult to deal with. I'm pretty much hard locked into running N Corp Faust for Whistle and Fluid Sac to fund my SP for E.G.O. spamming, and resetting runs until I get a sin resource generating gift early in the run. Even after all that, any time someone loses an even remotely intimidating clash I reset that fight. My Form Empties would've been a gimmicky breath of fresh air if they didn't make it swole to hell and back. A small tip would be to all in on one attack if you think you can hit a stagger threshold or kill the enemy. No need to clash 5 times if the enemy dies before any of them.
