Adding to platbro's comment on 9/10 difficulty: they have such a massive difference in experience in addition to varying in difficulty within being 9/10. I've been playing mostly 9's for the discord challenge (10's aren't worth it since it's the same point value) and I would say they're all in that category for very different reasons, even though 3 of them are all in the same genre (fighting games). Things really open up in those categories and it's nice to go for trophies beyond "find all collectables" or simply "Beat the game on hard mode (although this is basically the difficulty in the downwell platinum trophy) "

Actually in God of War 2018 the odin's crows collectables are numbered if you look at the map and it tells you if you completed collecting them all in that region like a 5/10 crows found and they do have a unique sound that they make when you're near one and they do glow green and sometimes fly around, so i managed to get the platinum without a guide and just looking for them using mechanics from the game and it's fantastic

@@PlatinumBro Okay so my story with trophy hunting is I absolutely love it, I have a hook for it and I am super interest in the guys who can do it! (You, Guy, PlatChums etc..) However I suck at it! I will platinum a game and get the bug but I just am not good enough at gaming, I lack time while doing a KZbin channel & I simply play too many games to be a serious trophy hunter like you guys! I have a measly 19 plats! (I do have Spider-Man) 😂✌🏻however in 2022 I will start the impossible mission of the HUGE backlog and try to get as many plats as possible!

I just feel like randomly answering this question because of how mad this trophy makes me but the worst type of trophy is rng based trophies that you have no control over. Currently, I am 1 trophy away from the Fall Guys platinum but the one trophy relies on a specific cosmetic being in the daily item shop. It has taken people 6 months for this item to appear in this shop. To make things worse, they are retiring the current trophy list in May and if I don’t get it before then, I will get my first impossible unfinished list.

40:10 - That's kind of the problem with difficulty ratings on trophy guides. They are just so subjective and there's no concrete baseline to actually use to make it more accurate. Different games with the same rating often don't feel like it. Heck, you can take two games and the one with the lower rated difficulty can feel harder than the one with the higher listed difficulty. And that's not even getting into how the same game will have multiple guides each listing wildly different difficulty ratings as well. To perfectly exemplify the last one, there is one platinum I have for this game called "Record of Agarest War". The guide on PSNProfiles lists it at a 3/10. The guide on PlaystationTrophies lists it at an 8/10. Like, wha? The difference between a 3 and an 8 is not insignificant, even with some generous leeway. Looking up random games as a comparison, that's a difference of "God of War 2" (3/10) to "Devil May Cry 5" (8/10).
