Aim to miss the object ball, and hit the cushion first - doing this will bump the object ball to the pocket. I look at the space next to the object ball and imagine the ghost ball there, then I line up my cue to about 3 o'clock on the cue ball and try to put early spin as I hit the cue ball to the shot. If, the cue ball completely misses bumping the object ball - but has enough spin, it should go in the direction of the side or corner pocket. Just keep trying to get closer and closer to bumping the object ball in. Aim for the cushion first. Good luck. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Play it with side spin, make the cue ball hit the cushion, so the spin makes the cue ball bounce towards the object ball.

You don’t!.. lol.. You’re welcome!..

I don’t practice shots like this because I would never play it.. Instead, hit the 9 dead full, double kissing the 9 and leaving it there, and sending the cue ball back up table.. That’s the shot..

I agree that would be last case scenario but you are not going to control a kiss shot any better.

@@bwhite429 That’s the shot I would practice.. lol.. Also 5 rails cue ball, 3 rails object ball, trying to leave the exact same shot, only opposite.. Playing for real I’d just the bank.. lol..

Under normal circumstances, no one would hit this ball. It is more appropriate to be safe.

I'm still learning how to do safety shots correctly. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Rookie,Thats not hard thats easy 😂 put the cue ball 1 diamond out off the end rail an the object ball 1 diamond off the opposite end rail, now cut it in the corner, this is a much more challenging shot.

I'll have to try that one. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
