Issue is the way polygyny is practiced that results in the breakdown of marriage, not that polygyny itself is abhorrent. This is why it seems to be a huge red flag for the marriage when a man talks about polygyny; he is mostly just going about trying to make halal an affair. There is such a thing as sexual restraint and discipline in our Deen as well. If he isn't satisfied by one, it won't stop with one more. Issue is lust, and lack of spirituality. This should be taught to men as well. There is such a thing as overindulgence in what is Halal. Even in marriage, everything needs consideration, it shouldn't be only about fulfilling needs. Work toward the Higher Self.

Few notes on the sister’s comments: 1. You are judging all men because of the actions of few when you claim it’s the practice you disagree with. 2. You said marrying a second wife is the equivalent of having an affair. Affair is a relationship that is secretive and haram in nature (if defined the way it is used in the western world) and it results in haram and heartbreak. Polygamy is good for society and it is the exercise of halal options 3. You said if he isn’t satisfied by one, he won’t be satisfied with a second. In that case, we advise him to get married a third time, and then a fourth time. And we advise him to restrict to 4 at any given moment. 4. I wouldn’t agree with your assessment that all men exercising this option are full of lust and lack spirituality. Take our blessed Prophet (saw) and his ashab (ra) as an example. I don’t know about you, but I believe their polygamous practices did not reduce their value. 5. You urged men to not overindulge in the halal and to consider a higher purpose. Thank you for that advise. It is really beneficial. We ask in return that you, women, have a higher purpose and only worry about the situation of your home, not your co-wife’s home.

Many people don't understand that every place marriage is different each locality, so in america marriage is more like white picket fence everybody works and they meet at the middle of the bridge not particularly on the islamic view. So many in the chat mention how can he pay light bill, water bill, and they dont understand that in this capitalist system Riba is tied to alot , so someone can move to a cheaper place in america, we are now in society that is emerged in the accumulation of things things, and they have an idealist view of how america displays it on tv . So i am married for 31 years and realised that you have to identify what makes your wives happy, and what makes her smile. and then do that as much as possible . THE pressure that the society puts on the women today to know relate to her marriage to what does a successful marriage is a misconception and isnt actually true. yes there is romance, love and comfort etc.. but, not all the time in the western way. america has some benefit of it but, not all of them.

Very solid advise for all before marriage: ask 3 questions to your future wife: 1. will you follow me wherever I go? Will you work the farm with me with your hands in all seasons? Will you do as I ask you in normal life? Yes is the only answer. Three things to ask: if she's wearing make-up: will you stop wearing make-up because I like pure nature (a woman wearing make-up wears a mask). If she wears jewelry: will you please do all this iron-store away, I like pure nature (otherwise she will throw away precious sadaqa money for worthless jewelry); if she's got a smartphone: will you please do that away and get a cheap 20 euro phone. Should be yes to all three. Questions for the woman to the man: same about phone! If he wears clothes with brand names: will you stop wearing these and only wear non-brand clothes? If he puts gel in his hair and spends time looking at himself in mirror: will you act as a man please? Fake nails is a no. A woman with long nails is lazy and isn't used to working, ask her to keep her nails short! A woman should have hands used to work, when she's older they should be harsher than soft. Beware of lazy women. Beware of men with a 2m tongue on Islam and who don't wake up EVERY day for their fajr. If a man is getting used to oversleeping in the morning, just get rid oh him and find someone better and vice-versa!

Sister, not sure what country you live in but western women are really strong, and more than their men. He is not siding with men but talking about the issues in society. Let’s say hijabis are too soft towards Qaume Lut and other fahisha. They afraid and scared of peoples retaliation or being cancelled. Most of the men are not afraid of any of that. So, it might seem like that he is going against you but know this that no men hates you. We love and respect our pious kind & honest sisters.

*8* . A sanctified institution of marriage; which is the indissoluble union of a man and a woman; in which husband and wife become one flesh, are equal, and are both commanded to love, honor and respect one another. Is that in Islam? Nooo! What are you talking about? In Christianity, of course! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. In Christianity you will find love, truth, beauty and eternal life.

@@z.a.1237 The 10 Best Things of Islam: *10* . The certainty that God loves you. *9* . Clear moral guidance and rules that exalt the best of our human nature, as we are made in the image of God, such as - do not kill, - do not steal, - do not lie, - do not commit adultery, - do not covet your neighbor's wife or possessions, and - forgive those who wrong you. *8* . A sanctified institution of marriage; which is the indissoluble union of a man and a woman; in which husband and wife become one flesh, are equal, and are both commanded to love, honor and respect one another. *7* .The promise of eternal life in loving union with God. *6* . A command from God to love your fellow human beings -- i.e. to want them good -- and to live in peace and harmony with them all, irrespective of their sexual orientation, faith, race, gender... *5* . A command from God to even love your enemies, i.e. to want them good! *4* . The certainty that God loves every human being as a father loves his children, irrespective of their faith, sexual orientation, gender, race... *3* . A command from God for you not to judge others or punish them, but to forgive them; because if anybody deserved punisment, God will punish them, not you. *2* . Beautiful and rich religious rituals which are celebrations of life, are meant to glorify and give thanks to a loving God, and are thus full of joy and are often accompanied with marvellous chants and wonderful music. *1* . A role model Who you can follow with your eyes closed, because He was pure and committed no sin; so in following Him you can make no error. Well, to be precise: these would be the ten best things of Islam if they were actually things of Islam, but they are not. Not at all. None of them is a thing of Islam. But they are all things of Christianity. These are some of the good things of Christianity. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. In Jesus you will find truth, love, beauty and eternal life.

@@thinkingperson2122 actually I was a practicing Roman catholic ( with practicing I dont talk Only about joining the Church but I mean I was a real christian ,following all the commandments in the Table of Moses and living My Life like the Gospel teaches ) and I even was a spiritual guide already from the teenage and teaching the Bible to children. But studying more I realized I was not in the full Truth and I started to search for It until I found Islam Is ThE Truth. And actually in Islam we follow the previous revelations so included the ten commandments etc. The difference is we dont believe in Trinity but in One Only GOD and we dont think Jesus a.s died for the Sins of humanity ( wich remind the pagan sacrifices ) and of course we dont Pray to human beings even they are very good exemples for humanity ( like Miriam r.a. and the so called saints ) ,but honestly i was not praying them even when i was christian. I have Always felt in myself this was wrong and strange ..The Heart was Always monoteistic :). We shoukd not judge a religion from his people ,look at the christian ,99.9 percent of them do Nothing of what christianity teaches.
