Sky News host Andrew Bolt said it is “hard to exaggerate” how badly the Albanese government’s energy plans are going. “The alarms about this are being sounded all over the place now,” he said.

Every wind turbine in Australia receives in EXCESS of $500,000 each and every year in subsidies derived from Renewable Energy Certificates. PLUS the income from power generation. On the basis of there being 2,077 wind turbines in Australia, the RET provides $1.09 billion PER ANNUM ! to the wind industry. Turbines spinning continuously, typically take 6-7 years to replace the energy needed to manufacture it. The government (taxpayers) pay for the wiring infrastructure from turbines to grid. Typical lifespan of 20 - 25 years means each turbine receives 10 - 12.5 BILLION DOLLARS, PLUS the income it receives for the electricity generation. Who the heck voted for these morons ?

It must be an illness going through the Labor party ministers that starts from the PM and goes down the line of incompetent idiots destroying Australia's economy and Australian's way of life. Prior to the election Greasy-Albo and his band of merrymakers were attacking the opposition for racking 1 Trillion Dollars, however, the way Labor is spending money they will exceed that figure and potentially double or trie it in 3 years time. Politicians in Australia need to be held accountable, not protected by parliamentary privilege, if found they have committed a crime they should spend time behind bars. Law breaking in Australia is so non excistant that crime increases daily. Australia needs laws like Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and other strict countries. All of this renewable energy, as well as being costly and not reliable, is not very sustainable. It will all need to be replaced within a relatively short time frame. What is the life of a wind turbine or solar panel? How much is recyclable? The energy returned on energy invested for wind power is about 2.5 to 1 whereas it is about 30:1 for coal fired power and about 100:1 for nuclear. Solar farms, wind towers and their infrastructure require energy investment for their initial production. The very low energy return on energy invested for ‘renewables’ will be compounded by the inability of ‘renewables’ to provide sufficient surplus energy for investment in the next round of replacements as they age.

Here's a simple fact. The previous Hazlewood Power Station had a rated capacity of 1800MW. Most wind turbines have a 3-4MW capacity. In other words you would need between 450 to 600 wind turbines to generate the same amount of energy (when the wind is blowing). That is equivalent to at least 4 very large wind farms that would need to be connected to the grid. IMO the chances of reaching the 2030 target set by Labor are Buckleys. The Government needs to come clean and show how their target will be achieved and release a calendar of events to meet such target.
@robinbrown8963 Жыл бұрын
Labor needs to come clean? certainly won't be Green clean? And if the wind strength is excessive the turbines shut down for preservation. The biggest con perpertrated on the world.

Wind farms and solar farms have run their race and will not proceed as it has been determined the astronomical costs are not sustainable. An intermittent form of energy as the main component is unacceptable to industry and the population at large. The shelf life of solar and wind infrastructure is short term and replacement is cost prohibitive. Nuclear is a good option as well. Here's a small sample of how many coal plants there are in the world today. I could go into using the advanced technology of thermally efficient, supercritical steam generators using our own world's best metallurgical coal; but what's the point, it is treated as hearsay and political hyperbole here in Oz. The EU has 468 plants, building 27 more for a total of 495. They tell everyone else it's their responsibility to 'Save The Planet' from Climate Change, typical Europeans; morals are a philosophy, honesty is a heresy! Turkey has 56 plants, building 93 more, total 149 South Africa has 79, building 24 more, total 103 India has 589, building 446 more, total 1036 The Philippines has 19, building 60 more, total 79 South Korea has 58, building 26 more, total 84 Japan has 90, building 45 more, total 135 AND CHINA has 2363, building 1171, total 3534 And our AUSTRALIAN politicians are going to shut down our 6 remaining plants and save the planet. Wind has a low energy density and wind power is centuries out of date. Wind turbines are a colossal waste of taxpayers money and resources (including coal and oil). Solar panels without extremely costly backup are only an economical supplement in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. The main regulators of climate are Milankovitch cycles, continental drift and stellar evolution of the sun. Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration plays a minor role on this planet which has 70% surface coverage with deep oceans. Both the current mean surface temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration are suboptimal for plant growth. The main and beneficial effect of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration is greening of the planet with increased agricultural yields. There are enough fossil fuel reserves to last for several centuries. The ITER project will shed light upon the feasibility of nuclear fusion power plants. There is no urgency to transition to non fossil fuel energy sources. Nuclear power and geothermal energy are under utilised. We should withdraw from the Paris Accord forthwith and use the most economical energy resources available.

Ok, a good indicator of the Green/Labor Energy Crisis, will be when rural residents have to use petrol or diesel generators to power their-new ‘EVs.’ Then, preferences for restored power diversion goes to political voting suburbs/Shires. In rural areas of Australia, such as: Western Australia, & Queensland, you are a casualty if stranded in a remote area due to vehicle break-down. Greens,’ fixate on Idealistic Metropolitan measures,’ & are closet TV Tele-Marketer Disciples,’ believing-in effortless, & intelligent options seemingly missed by Australian,, Chinese, South Asian Medical Professionals, such as teeth whitening gel, that negates tooth decay-ruining Dentist business models,’ etc. Anyway, the logical-step for supposed Renewable Energy replacement of convention Fossil Based-Base Load Power, would be to establish 100% Renewable out….forget it! dumb-as Vics,’ Tassie Retirees,’ ACT Porn Subscibers,’ don’t get me started on the South Australians’ on this! Just plain-dumb, as they don’t have to live amongst the worst-of-the-worst in Society.

The current government is adept at colluding with delusional ideation. The false and delusional belief that mans effects on the earth’s climate are significant and dangerous and the false and delusional belief that transitioning to non fossil fuel energy sources will be cheap and easy.

So called green derived energy, always needs a thing called base load. Diesel, Coal, etc etc. Doesn't work otherwise...fact. I was involved in makin the Australian Base in Antarctica, Mawson station, green. We installed wind turbines and a hydrogen generator which ran off wind power. We set up a scientists hut which used hyd. for heating cooking and transport. Hyd. fueled quad bike. It was never reliable without one diesel genset running for "base load" supply. Where did all that data go Minister for the Dpt of Environment and Heritage........??????? It cost millions to for this study........!? We did that job 20 years ago....hellooooo Guess what, one of the wind turbines fell apart, it's nacelle fell off one night. Reliablity with green derived energy is just not possible without something carrying the base load, a nice dream, but just another pipe dream being pushed around the world now on the back of what data.....I feel it is based on the data of opiniated woke politicians.
@drchristinecarr969 Жыл бұрын
Didn’t we say that all along? - and we did so without computer data models, without highly paid ‘experts’, without the woke scientists, without cancelling those who opposed us! How did we do it? We did it with a dwindling commodity - common sense! 😖

So all the wind turbines in the background were at a standstill. As a responsible Green driver, he should have pulled over and waited for the wind to start blowing again. Note: Oz has no energy backup, until Snowy II comes on line. And even then, Snowy II will only provide 10 hours of energy. R

Someone is getting kickbacks for this. Big money in “renewable” energy. It’s equivalent to demolishing functional bridges with the promise of new ones - eventually. Follow the money.
