Thoughts for the day Wind farms and solar farms have run their race and will not proceed as it has been determined the astronomical costs are not sustainable. An intermittent form of energy as the main component is unacceptable to industry and the population at large. The shelf life of solar and wind infrastructure is short term and replacement is cost prohibitive. Nuclear is a good option as well. Here's a small sample of how many coal plants there are in the world today. I could go into using the advanced technology of thermally efficient, supercritical steam generators using our own world's best metallurgical coal; but what's the point, it is treated as hearsay and political hyperbole here in Oz. The EU has 468 plants, building 27 more for a total of 495. They tell everyone else it's their responsibility to 'Save The Planet' from Climate Change, typical Europeans; morals are a philosophy, honesty is a heresy! Turkey has 56 plants, building 93 more, total 149 South Africa has 79, building 24 more, total 103 India has 589, building 446 more, total 1036 The Philippines has 19, building 60 more, total 79 South Korea has 58, building 26 more, total 84 Japan has 90, building 45 more, total 135 AND CHINA has 2363, building 1171, total 3534 And our AUSTRALIAN politicians are going to shut down our 6 remaining plants and save the planet. It is a popular delusion that mans effects on the earth’s climate are significant and dangerous. The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels are actually beneficial since both the mean surface temperature of Earth and the current atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration are both suboptimal for plant growth. Benefits include increased agricultural yields (main effect) reduced winter heating costs and fewer deaths from hypothermia. It is a popular delusion that transitioning to non fossil fuel energy sources will be cheap and easy. Wind has a low energy density and wind power is centuries out of date. Wind farms only exist due to massive taxpayer funded subsidies. They make no economic sense. Solar panels are only economical in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. The costs entailed in storage, back up and transmission are astronomical. The delusional insanity of Net Zero needs to be urgently abandoned and the most economical energy resources available need to be utilised. Our current government is acting contrary to the national interest.

Not only does one need to draw power from the grid if the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine but both the renewable energy and dispatchable energy parts are more or less used on a mutually exclusive basis, that is when one part is working the backup isn't required and vice-versa. This means that there is a lot of capital intensive infrastructure standing idle for most of the time including the transmission lines. No business can operate efficiently if capital resources are standing idle most of the time.

I have just put in a 7.4 Kwh solar on my house. I pay 0.53 cents per Kkh from the power grid in peak hour when the sun don't shine. When it is sunny and the solar panels are working, yes I can power my home. But, the excess power that I put back into the power grid I only get 0.07 cents credit which other people are paying 0.53 cents for. If the government want to cut the price of power than, pass a law the the input of power back into the grid is at least 0.45 cent per kwh. This way well will not destroy farm land and the country with solar farms and wind turbines.

It is vitally important that any feelings of guilt or responsibility are not used to justify inventing a culture that was never there. This would indeed be corrupt and wrong, our European collective guilt should not then motivate and inspire us to pretend and counterfeit a culture. There was and is documented authentic Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait cultural history, and it is the responsibility of Australians to encourage this true history to be embraced over the current desperate pretend and counterfeit Aboriginal and Torres Strait cultural history. The opinion that the colour of your skin, or the antecedents of an individual are the defining factors is narrow-minded, backwards, bigoted, racist, discriminatory, prejudiced, unfair, and insulting. Yet it's been the dominant thinking in the Australian government, Universities, the Australian media, (particularly the ABC) and general public discourse for decades. This retrogressive, confused, righteous stupidity has to be walked back. Australia will be burning witches again if this level of ‘objectiveness’ and ‘honesty’ continues. Talk about full circle, Australia has returned to its narrow-minded, dogmatic, bigoted racists views again!!! And this isn’t the 1940’s It’s 2023, and anybody questioning the current racist, bigoted, intolerant, and prejudiced attitudes flowing from the left the "Humblebragers," virtue signalling, "greenwashing," brain washed, "Slacktivists," and "Performative activists," will be met with boisterous displays on top of the already cacophonous display. We Australia no longer need logic and reasoning, we only need belief. Repair our national unity, cease the government funded accusations and recriminations ‘witch trials’ against villainous white Colonialism, and the irreproachable, eternally virtuous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. It's fundamentally harmful, perverse, and wrong. Either we’re (Australians) are all villainous, or we are all virtuous, race (culture) plays no part in this matter, circumstance! The generational attack, offensive, assault on muti-cultural Australia has left us divided, and embarrassed of Australia’s wonderful past. All to serve the self seeking, selfish interests of a very small militant, embittered and clearly corrupt organisation. The goal of separatism seems to be this small ‘elite’ group within an equally small group's agenda. This small ‘elite’ group has garnered a great deal of power, and influence thanks to some very clever, and less than honest use of every available manipulation available to them, especially the weaponization of race. Our nation's genuine history has been entirely subverted throughout the last two decades with: ‘truth’ telling that there is now virtually only one Australian hero, the innocent, entirely virtuous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s who were wronged by ‘white men throughout their innocent, and entirely virtuous histories. The echo chamber that has created ‘The Voice’ in its current form needs to take a long hard look at themselves; and their shameful, unjust, and discriminatory doctrine of critical race theory. And instead of pronouncing: racism, discrimination, unfairness, and bigotry upon any Australians who stand against ‘The Voice’ in its current form. They should examine the structural racism they intend to widen and inflate with the same furious incrimination. Hope Victoria wakes up to: running with the vibe. You can’t hand billions over to a small corrupt, biased, prejudiced, and discriminatory group because they a)may or may not look like 'Stan Grant.' b) may or may not have relatives who say they had relatives who ‘owned everything, everywhere,' Australia. Victorians feel, respect, and look out for for all Australians, and not only 2% because it's popular.❤🇦🇺🦘 The Voice is not a path to reconciliation, and harmony it is a path to entrench structural racism within our nation's constitution. Something that should be abhorrent to all Australians but particularly so to Indigenous Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander’s. ❤🇦🇺🦘 ❌❌❌End 'Welcome' to Country.❌❌❌ ✅✅✅Start Acknowledging that you’re Australians, just like the rest of us.✅✅✅

Why do you expect the provider of the reliable 24hr energy shouldn’t be paid for their services? You found out unreliable power systems cost money but expect to be paid full tariff for the energy when everyone has it (sunny times)? This is the thought process that has got the country into this laughing mess. You are the competition to the utilities and add cost, not benefit to the system.

💯. All subsidies for intermittent renewables need to end immediately so people understand their true system costs and realise they are the most expensive way to generate energy.

I love the argument with people who say they have no bills after going off grid. Nevermind they've spent 40K plus installing an off grid system that will require battery replacement. 40K in power bills is 10 plus years. They are still paying a power bill they just paid it all up front. How dumb are these people

If "global warming " is such an existential threat to Australia and the world and therefore , we have to go solar and wind power and start driving EVs and build EV charging stations everywhere , then why are two new petrol stations being built within 5 km of each other in the Somerton area near my work ? One is being built on the corner of Sydney and Bary's road and the other is being built on Cooper street.

Even if the entire world could go green energy. Climate change we facing isn't man made its something that just happens every so many thousands or millions of years. All this clean energy to save what? It ain't going to slow down or stop. We only depriving ourselves of easier way off living to get to a level that won't make any changes. If you look at earth history there was many major climate changes. Serial hundred years ago was drought all over Europe. Several climate changes when dinosaurs were on earth including a hot period. Several ice ages. Including a total ice age when the entire world was covered in complete ice. That stayed like that for millions of years. No man was on earth when these climate changes happened. Extinction events is a natural phenomenon on earth. Clime change is all caused by our interior of our planet. Our sun. And space. One volcano eruption pumps more Co2 into our atmosphere in a single eruption than all the Co2 man has made in 300 years. The climate change our government is panicking about is a natural phenomenon. They can't stop it. The earth is now about to enter a new cycle that will take several hundred years to complete. And remain that way till the next change. The government climate change panicking reminds me of the shut downs over covid. When people was stockpile their trolley full of toilet paper. Like it was some kinda ass virus. Like how idiotically can you get. The government wanting to switch of gas is also foolish. If all the ice melts the land that was covered in ice will release tones of methane into the atmosphere so wouldn't you want to burn it before that happens? Gas can't produce emissions. It becomes vaporised by fire. The Victorian government showing his intelligence level on that one.

The most absurd aspect of all of this economically destructive delusional insanity is that the carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels are actually beneficial. Benefits include increased agricultural yields (main effect) reduced winter heating costs and fewer deaths from hypothermia. We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord forthwith and use the most economical energy resources available.
